  • Hatch or Durley

With most of the season done now, who do you feel has improved the most from the end of last year?

It's close but Durley's defense has gotten so much better I have to give it to him.

If Hatch's 3 was falling it might be a different story... maybe next year.

I agree, Hatch was supposed to be the guy hitting 3's. Not to say I don't like what he's doing instead...

Both players have made great strides, but considering where Durley was last year with his defense, and how far he has come, he gets my vote.

Hatch (minus the three) has greatly exceeded most peoples expectations, and has played an increasingly important role, but we needed Durley's improvement more than we needed Hatch's based on who else we have on the bench.

Wouldn't want to lose either one though....

            Completely agree.

What is it that Hatch changed about his shooting technique that has made it more difficult for him this year?

With what both are doing this year and how they should normally progress, they will be tough players to beat in the next couple of years.

              My vote goes to...

I like the progress both have made and it's refreshing to see players develop noticeably between their freshman and sophmore years. It was always my perception that players developed slowly under MT. I give my vote to Durley but only because Hatch has not been as effective as an outside scoring threat as he was last year. If Hatch were shooting a better percentage I would probably call it a draw.

                  It's surely Durley.

If the poll would have been Hatch or Hawkins, I'd probably goes with Hatch, but on this poll, his lack of an outside shot is the determining factor.

Both are much improved over last year. I'll give it to Durley based on his defense last year was mainly that of a spectator.

I agree with most everyone else on this post. If we were measuring heart it would be Hatch going away. If we could clone his heart across the team we'd be a lot more aggressive. His shot will fall again. Maybe next year or hopefully in a place close to the Mississippi river. Durley can be the man for this team if he continues to improve. His size is hard to defend in this league and he seems to be gaining confidence in his moves near the hoop. I just wish he'd start them a little quicker after receiving the pass.

Both have made positive improvements, I just hope we are typing the same comments next year this time about Stutz.

I have to side with Graham! After much consideration. His spark of the bench seems to get the team going in the right direction more than any other single player with the added intensity he has shown over last year. Durley is much improved defensively (and I have loved watching the improvement) but Hatch has that little something that gets the whole team to play harder

Both have improved significantly. JT is playing like we all expected him to. Graham is playing above expectations on defense and with his intensity and leadership. If he starts hitting his 3-ball LOOK OUT!

I went with JT, his defense and rebounding, are vastly improved! However, if Hatch could hit the threes on more consistant basis, he would have gotten my vote. The future is looking very bright, with depth too.
