          Yellow of course!

But there is no official "blackout" or "yellowout" but I for one wish everyone would wear yellow to all the games.

I hate the term "yellowout"! Why can't we coin the term yellow fever to capture the true atmosphere inside CKA

I think we should call it a Gold Rush instead of Yellow out! It sounds much better!

Yellowout makes me think of unclean snow...

Yellow fever makes me think of death and despair...

Gold is not our official color.

                But I don't have a better suggestion.

I know most will say gold is not our official color, but we have plenty of "official" references to it - Bold Gold as a SASO membership, "black and gold" is a line in the Shocker Fight song. The Alma Mater states "long wave the yellow and the black". There is no color reference in Hail Wichita, BTW. IIRC, the official statement of school colors states yellow and black, and I'm not sure what the Pantone number is for our particular look.

Personally, I prefer the slightly darker, more goldish yellow, as I think it is more accurate to actual ripened wheat color, but that's just me.

Just don't wear your KU stuff, please, if you have any. I always want to dope slap those idiots. I go to the occasional KU football game and will hopefully someday a few basketball games thanks to some buddies who are Beaker alums, and I will certainly be gracious enough to wear something appropriate. Perhaps my Lazy Buzzard t-shirt that has a red and blue buzzard that looks rather Jayhawkish. :) But something subtle will always represent! I've done black and gold shoelaces before, and of course black scivvies, but only I'll know about that!

The official color is banana. We should have a Banana-rama.

I think it's closer to "Sunflower".
