. But really, we can't beat Bradley and UMKC at home, what makes you think we can beat the first place MVC team who is 7-0 on the road.
We did beat Creighton and Illinois State at home. Creighton was (I think) and is 2nd with a 5-2 Valley road record AND they beat Northern Iowa @ NIU. Illinois State was tied for first at the time but now they're third and their road record is only 3-5. The point I'm trying to make is that while we did lose to the Summit Leagues equivalent of Missouri State, we've also beat some respectable teams after the "turnaround" started. Anything can and obviously will happen in the Valley this year. Just look at Evansville & MSU @ WSU, also Indiana St. @ Northern Iowa.

May I ask where you are seeing UNI fans assuming this is a gar. W?

I'm not even sure where I'd find a UNI fan...From the looks of the 1 or 2 games I've seen, there aren't any at the games.

Here's the deal. FSF has the upmost respect for the banner Valley Season that UNI is having. However, they are ripe for a loss and we have not forgot the barn yad mauling we received at their cold and creepy house. That second half debacle was more excurciating than the last root canal I received. The Panthers were uncanny shooters the 2nd half and the ball seemed to perpetually bounced their way. Now it is all about the reckoning.

Can we play like we did in our victory versus Mo. State and pull this win out? No way!!! However, look for us to bring our 'A game' to the Chuck on Feb 14--- displaying so much Heart and led by :poster_ramon: and an urgency to win------ "23, 3,10,5,1,11,14,15,22,24,25,31,32,33,41 :poster_eo: " that we  , scratch and claw our way to a win that will serve notice that "SHOCKER BASKETBALL IS ALIVE AND WELL ON PLANET EARTH---3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN---21st and HILLSIDE." Look for a solid game from # 25 :poster_hawk:

Are you meaning for the whole game, or for like the last 2 or 3 minutes?

This game will tell us how much we've improved. I am still suspect. If we were improved, we should have slaughtered SwoMo. We didn't. The SwoMo game was like going to the toilet after spending 4 hours at the mexican and chinese sections of the Harrah's buffet the night before and only farting! Sure, it was exciting at the end, but you still kind of felt like crap.

There are no moral victories at this point. If we lose, we may as well move on to the MVC tournament and put our quarters in a 4 reel slot machine, close our eyes and pull on the one arm bandit. Then look forward to next year.

But if we win.......Ahhhhh, if we win. We can start to get really excited, me will start to believe in weird things abound in the next 3 weeks.

It's a given that we will need a big effort of support from Shocker fans and I think we will get that.

The Shocks will either need to have a well above average game offensively or force UNI into a well below average game offensively to pull off the upset.

The latter seems more easily attainable to me than the former. Question is what lineup gives us the best chance at acheiving this.

I for one would really like to see much more of the Murry, Kyles, Hatch, Clemente and Durley lineup than we normally do.

Looking forward to the game. Hopefully, the Shocks have a big game ready to bust loose.

Isn't this lineup a bit small against UNI? I seem to recall we had trouble defending them in the paint last game. Could be wrong.

Having said that, if we play with the same intensity we brought agains Creighton and Ill St, we can win; of that I am confident. If we don't we lose. Of that, I am also confident.

Prez----These Shocks young guns may not give us 40 full solid minutes. You can give me the most ugly win in Shocker history--and for now---that would be cool beans!!!!!!! Another home--su-weet home win is something that really seems quite possible--but is it probable? Stay tuned!!!!!!! See you all there!!!

Possibly, but it may present as many match up problems for UNI as it does for us.

Besides we only have Garrett and Aaron to counter with if we want to go bigger. Aaron might be effective, but I don't think Garrett is up to the task.

Fortunately, for the Shocks I'm not making these decisions.

Any win against UNI would be sweet regardless of how ugly.

Don't get me wrong, I will take any win over a loss. But winning ugly against an inferior team doesn't warm my cockels.

We need to dominate someone just so that our young guys get to know what it's like to play above our competition.

Here's the deal. An average Shocker performance---need not apply if we want a win. This is a winnable game--but the Panthers are for real. Thanks 1972 for getting this prediction thread started.

Stutz has a break out game, surprising everyone Clevin and the guards actually feed him the ball when he has good position instead of waiting for defense to work around him.

Toure has more assists than TO's and scores 15.

UNI misses 3 at buzzer for the win...
