  • Valley Games- 2/11

    Drake (-2) at Indiana State
Southern Illinois at Northern Iowa (-6)
    Illinois State at Evansville (PK)
    Bradley at Creighton (-9.5)

Shockers need to hope for Indiana State, Northern Iowa, Illinois State and Creighton to win and I think all of those things will happen tonight. As far as the lines go, I will take Indiana State, SIU, Illinois State and Bradley to cover.

    Another "perfect storm" scenario:

    InSU over DU
    UNI over SIU
    ISU over UE
    CU over BU

That would put us back in a 3-way tie for 6th and one game out of 4th/5th.

InSU will be a tough out for DU. The Bulldogs did wallop the Sycs in Des Moines, but I expect a very different game this time around.

Except for the game at SIU, ISU has not fared well on the Valley road. UE is no gimme.

I hate to root for SIU but I don't want to play them for 6th place the last game of the season at their place on senior night.

I'm hoping Drake and Evansville start tanking.

Would you rather have UNI coming to Koch after two losses? I don't.

Rooting for UNI to lose and SIU to win makes very little sense.

If you're a WSU fan, you want SIU to lose out. Same goes with Drake, and then Evansville and Bradley to a certain extent.

              ... No really, deuces.

The above only makes sense when SIU plays Drake or Evansville. It will be easier for us to catch those teams than SIU given we have a road game left with SIU and if we lose we lose the tiebreaker. But for tonight's games we can root against all three.

Sadly none of these games are on TV except the Creighton game which is on something called MVC TV. Anyone heard of that?
