I'm sure Garrett will be fine. Most players make the most improvement between their freshman and sophomore seasons. He should be able to put on some weight and improve his agility and stamina over the summer. A lot of people thought Hatch was to soft and didn't have the body to play D-1 ball. In fact some posters were calling the coach to pull his scholarship. In a lot of situations I feel a lot better with Hatch in there instead of Hawkins.

Durley has really improved his game since he has started posting up down low instead of out at the elbow. He's also gotten rid of the lazy streak and works hard down in the post. Ellis is also showing improvement in his game lately.

Durley is a red-shirt sophomore and Hatch and Ellis are true sophomores so I'm not going to give up on Stutz so easily. In a couple of years when Durley is a senior, Stutz a junior and EO as a red-shirt sophomore we should dominate down low. That's not even counting a senior Blair, a senior Ellis, and a red-shirt Hamilton at PF.

        stutz

Before you go assuming Stutz will put on weight, you'd better find out if he has quit growing yet, i.e., his growth plates are closed. If not, his body will use a lot of energy for growing up instead of out from what I've been told. I hope he quits growing at 7' 1".

If you consume more calories than your body is using you put on weight, whether the growth plates are closed or not. If you consume a lot of protein and exercise with heavy weights some of it will be muscle.

In Royal's original post he mentioned our guards' in ability to pressure... I would argue that Clevin gets closer to dribblers than his abilities allow hm to do so effectively. If he would just take a step back they would be less likely to drive. These drives have been detrimental in multiple ways: easy baskets, fouls on our bigs as they come to help, open shots from players in rythym.. This has been bugging me since the home game against Bradley - it seems the harder Clevin tries the easier it gets for the other team... Step back and force someone into a long shot off the dribble.

I would normally argue for high pressure, but it does not work for Clevin. His size works against him and he does not have the quickness to make up for it.
