There were some bad calls, but there are every game played. What was bad was our inability to be able to function under Evansville pressure defense.

And why for Pete's sake, didn't HCGM have someone tight on Holsinger when they brought the ball in with 4.4 seconds on the clock before the half. Either him or Ely was going to get the ball.

NEVER FEAR---FSF IS HERE. However, a loss is a loss is a loss. Nice that we outrebounded them 36-20. Nice that we made 3 more field goals than them. We came out of the blocks like a 100 yard dash but it was a 40 minute marathon. Yikes!!! We only had 11 assists which means we were obviously not clicking on offense. Their defense had something to do with that. Then the SR. slumping gunslinger Holsinger comes out raining around 5----3's in a row which was more than our young-guns could bear. Ely is the real deal and added 15 points.

What were the problems? Too many sloppy Shocker turnovers again---foul trouble which benched our top-guns too long, and the Aces shot 30 free throws to our 10? Pla---eeeese!!!! My hat is off to Coach Marshall because FSF as Coach in that game would have resulted in me getting tossed like a bad habit. Wow!!! 30-10? Helll---o or might I say Hello-no!!! These things happen on the road and our team never adapted to the constant signs that were there to listen to and watch for. We have to address the things we can control to win and make the needed adjustments to grow as a team. Coach Marshall inclusively understands all of this and will huddle-up and get us back on track. Oh well, we need to obviously keep the turnovers to a mild roar and foul less---much less, to be successful from here.

Mo. State at home will NOT be a sure-fire win if we don't correct some of the above issues that plagued us in our road swing. Any and all wins we can scratch and scrape out from here will be great. We are coming home with at least one much needed road win under our belt. A strong finish is possible with our remaining games. However, is it probable? Stay tuned!!!!!!!

The lead official can't call that on Ramon because there's NO F'ING WAY HE CAN SEE IF IT'S A FOUL OR NOT!!! Which obviously it wasn't.

Who was the lead on this play? Kissinger is rail thin, Woodson is kindy of sandy haired and Warfel was probably the heaviest. He is definitely heavier than Kissinger, who may weigh 150 lbs.

Judging by those descriptions I believe it was Warfel. I believe he's also the guy who while at C made a foul call in the FAR CORNER with the other two guys right there.

Shockfever - I'll post what I want. I've been following the shockers for the better part of 25+ yrs. I did watch the game, the refs blew but our offense blew even worse. shooting 10% from three land doesnt cut it. our guys were physically pushed around - we couldn't hack physical ball.

Sadly, I think Ed Hightower would have made this game better...

The funny thing is I was watching the end of C of C vs Davidson and noticed Hightower was officiating and commented to my wife that atleast he wont be at the WSU game.

The refs changed the whole complexion of this one. Only thing I ask for is consistency, there was none. It was just to brutal.

Maybe there was a reason why we could never get a flow.. every time we touched the floor we couldn't breathe without a whistle being blown.

I agree with Sub - the officiating was absolutely awful. Given the way the Shox started the game, it was glaringly obvious that the officials took them right out of their rythmn as the game went on. Officials like that can do the same thing to a crowd - I've seen it many times at the Chuck.

I'll concede that the Shox might have been beaten regardless of the officiating but IMO they didn't have a chance last night. If I had been in HCGM's shoes, I would have been tossed. I'd like to see what he sends or hear what says to the MVC's offficating boss.

For you guys who are in the know, is it true that both coaches evaluate the officials after each game?

This game sucked. We took it to them, had our foot on their neck and then let some stupid things get to us. We're young.

30-10. Christ! Okay. Enough about the refs. We still had too many turnovers. Not enough offense from our bench to withstand Durley, Murray and Clemente getting in foul trouble. We need at least 1 or 2 more scorers before we can take the next step. Stutz has to improve. Ellis had a chance to assert himself, but didn't.

What makes me most angry is that we aren't crafty enough to make these teams that push on D pay. We need to watch some old Princeton films. Work on our passing and backdoor the S.O.B.s!! All day long.

We still don't have the killer instinct to slap inferior teams around. It will come. We'll get there. Put another notch in the HCGM's grudge belt and move on. The longer the belt the more Ars he's going to be able to whip in a year or 2.
