I'm normally NEVER a blame the officials guy, but I will make an exception in this game.
The Stutz elbow was classic. The replay clearly showed Stutz elbow was at least 2 inches over the top of the UE guy's head. The UE guy flopped and grabbed his nose, which wasn't within 7" of Stutz elbow.
I remember a block that was straight down and called for across the arm.
WSU wasn't allowed to play D and UE was allowed to physically push the Shox out of their O. UE got some bad calls too, but WSU was pretty much taken out of any possible rhythm or game plan on both ends of the court.
UE has become the thugs and floppers of the Valley. I can't wait to get them next year.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Oh quit your beeyotchin! We weren't an 0-16 team road team for nothing, we didn't lose 6 MVC games in a row for nothing, there's a reason why we have only won 9 games so far, so don't gimme no excuse about officiating.
Crap happens and if the team was good enough skill and athletic wise, they would have beat EU. Face it, we will be marginally better than last year and let's hope for a .500 season.Comment

it was definitely some bad officiating. unbelievable at times. the stutz elbow set me off. if they are going to be in our grill like that all night and we come within two inches of there nose they cant flop and *****! when the crowd booed about a call i wandered what the hell game they were watching that they thought they couldnt be called for a foul that was blatant but we get called for every little cheap foul. absolutely horrible. games like this piss me off. im not saying we should have won because we played like crap but 3 to 1 free throws is rediculous. absolutely crazy. i hope marshal sends this video to the ncaa to be reviewedOriginally posted by AarghComment

I know the coaches, players, and other WSU staff can't complain about the officiating without some sanction, but I was a little surprised Suellentrop didn't comment more on it in his article in the Eagle. He mentioned that compared to last game fewer fouls were called for us, but nothing about the ridiculous Stutz call, or the disparity in foul calls.
So, maybe Suellentrop is trying to keep it clean to make sure he doesn't offend anyone who might contribute to his stories in the future, but where is Lutz when you need him? Bob Lutz doesn't seem to care about making anyone mad, so I think we need him to step up and call out the officials for what happened yesterday.
Disclaimer: I don't think the officials cost us the game, but they did make a lot of bad calls and took away from the game.Comment

The only thing more disgusting than the officiating was Marty Simmons tit sweat coming through 2 layers of shirts and his sweater. Seriously I know hes a big guy but it must have been 3 minutes into the game when it became clear it was all the way through his sweater already.Comment

We mostly agree the officials were down right horrible.
By the way Coach Marhsall was shaking his head most of the night, my guess is he felt the same way most of us here do.
What I don't get, is why didn't Marshall go for the T, if used at the right time, can cause an officiating crew to change the way they are calling a game. Which IMHO, it would have helped the team. Clearly Coach is trying not to become the king of T's. However, anyone could see what was happening, a technical foul was warranted.
I think most of the time, officiating in a game usually evens out. This one was clearly a long, long way from that.Comment
