No, I didn't watch it, I try to watch as few WSU sporting events as possible...
You're right an entire season should be based on one game...
Remember, we won the game....and it finally showed that we can win on the road.
So I see that you are counting the 5-1 run, but what about 0-6 start? Indiana St. was who we thought they were......if you wanna crown their ass...then crown them, but they are who we thought the were.
Are you guys serious! What about last night made a comeback through the conference promising? It was INDIANA ST!!! Our defense didnt stop them from scoring, their poor shooting did. Comeback down to earth and look at this team for what it is. Optimism is bliss.
I agree that it wasn't our best played game. We still looked sloppy, but at this point I'll take wins however we can get em. The silly talk about 2nd is just there to imagine, not what actually is going to happen.
Man, how can you still be this bitter about not getting the head coaching job 2 years ago?
Get over it Steve. Seriously.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

ICT316 - did you watch the game when you said poor shooting did IN St in? I think the WSU pressure defense in the 2nd half wore them down. The TV commentators commented on that although it was obvious. For WSU to win, they have to play pressure defense.
Sure, they mishandled the ball some to drop from an 11-pt lead to a 3-pt lead, but hopefully, this win will give them more confidence and composure for their next road game!
I didn't see it mentioned on Shockwaves or anywhere in the game thread, but Toure Murray stopped Marshall cold in the last 1-2 minutes & he was their best scorer. Murray confronted him at the top of the 3-pt arc. Marshall tried to faked him 2-3 times, but Toure didn't leave his feet. Filnally, Marshall decided to elevate & Toure stole the ball from him. At the time, WSU only had a 3-4 pt lead. Toure later pulled the pick and roll play with Durley to give WSU a 5-pt lead with about 30 sec's left
I think Toure' is coming up on Sherrod's record for steals very fast and should pass it in the next couple games. Kid is just so savvy in so many ways. He is a really special player.

Not sure if we were watching the same game. While Murry did play good defense on the play you just described he was beat for layups with pretty much no defense on two straight posession under 2 mins by Marshall. He had 4 fouls according to Bruce but the box score on ESPN only had him for 3. During those layups you could tell he was worried about fouling out. Just the way I saw the game.
You are probably right about the layups where Marshall beat Murray. The post game discussion was that Marshall was 0-6 from outside the arc, & 8 for 16 inside the arc. Something like that. I just remember that it seemed like on that one play which was close to the end of the game, Murray stopped him.
