  • Bob Hull

I think he does a very nice job as Mike's color analyst.

If someone is able to provide some background information on him, I would be appreciative.

I think he is Cindy Close's husband and he was an assistant for Scott Thompson at WSU.

I believe he had a stint as an assistant at Illinois too, IIRC.

He was an assistant under Randy for 1 year maybe 1.5 years. They didn't really see eye to eye.

Bob Hull is a prince of a nice guy. He loves to talk hoops and I truly respect his understanding of the game. I concur with RDR and enjoy his input with Mike K.

Pretty sure he won a national championship at Metropolitan State University in denver (D2) some time in the 90's as a head coach. Same place Darryls Smith came from.

Bob is a class act and a great partner with MK. You won't meet a nicer guy. 8)

Wasn't he Lou Henson's right hand man?

I have always wondered how Randy Smithson's career at WSU would have been had Bob stayed on his staff? It seemed to me that Randy and Carlos Diggins were always screaming and yelling...pure hard core all the time. It was my feeling that Bob was the sane one who the players responded to the best...in a calm, steady, respectful way. It has been my observation that often the "hard-a##'s", aren't nearly as effective without the calming influence being available at the same time or afterwards for the players. IMHO it is helpful to pick a player up and have them feeling good about themselves after they have been taken apart. (If the effort to improve and learn is good) I always felt that losing Bob was part of Randy's demise at WSU.

Anything's better than Dave Dahl's lameass keys to the game. He sets metaphor and simile back to 1980's rap days.

I absolutely loved Dahl's corny keys to the game. They were always hilarious.

I don't think people ever realized that he was trying to be funny.

Last year or maybe two years ago, his keys were so lame. Dahl thought it was high comedy, but in fact, it was mindless drivel. It was like fingernails on a chalk board. Even Mike seemed embarrassed by it all.
