    We can only hope.
1410 or 98.7 would be better stations for WSU than what we have now. Although, 98.7 has the chickens on now. Maybe they can move to 1330!

1410 isn't going to be an option either because of their lack of broadcast strength. I live 30 miles from Wichita and can't get it.

And 98.7 isn't going to give up KU for WSU sports. So we're probably stuck with 1330 for now. Does KFDI AM still do KSU?

Yes, AM-1070 (KFTI) still does KSU. However, their nighttime signal east and west is weak. They are required to cut it way down after sundown. People north and south will get a good signal, but east and west will not.

So, you’re basically telling us that we’re SCREWED? I’d rather suffer with 1330 then switch to a less powerful station. One would think we could find an area FM station with some power. Honestly, there are area Junior College and High School teams with better radio coverage.
              Pathetic!

P.S. This is a job for ‘Cold’ with his marketing prowess. I would also think the 'good Dr.' knows the right people.
              It’s time to GIT-R-DONE!

With KGSO being a part of ESPN radio it might give them the ability to put the game on other ESPN stations in the state to help get it out there more.

I'd feel better if they had an FM partner though as I don't get KGSO inside the house.

98.7 wouldn't do any good as it's still the same company running 1240 and 1330. We'd get a better signal but the same bafoons would still be in charge.

Yea, it looks like the audio was never turned on to the stream last night so we just recorded 60 minutes of dead air.

I've downloaded what they had here and posted it on shockerradio.com just so the podcast won't be empty but this obviously wasn't the full show.

Say what you will about Jay Bilas -- I've complained of his Eastern-centric, "high major" perspective myself -- but that is a great piece. I hope some of the Shocks who have the talent but lack the sort of toughness he writes about really, really absorb it.

This is a great article that I can show to my boys. Hopefully, they will learn something from it, so they can someday play for the Shockers!

Wow! One of the best, if not the very best basketball articles I’ve ever read. Every basketball coach, player and fan should take the time to read this article… Jay hits the nail squarely on its head. This piece patterns LIFE in general and how toughness and hard work applies in everything we do.

During last nights coaches show, Marshall said they spent over 45 minutes at Mondays practice discussing and dissecting this article. He said he read it to the players and then went around the room pointing out each player’s deficiencies in the areas Bilas mentions.

Unfortunately, probably 90% of the teams in the country will be doing the same thing in the coming weeks. IMO this article is one for the ages and a non-celebration ‘SLAM DUNK’ for Jay Bilas.

P.S. I’m not a big Bilas fan, but I now have more respect for him.

That is without a doubt the best basketball article I've ever read.
