It matters not whether we are a play-in team or not. What matters is what we do when we play our first game, and hopefully second, and third as well.

It is the lack of consistency that befuddles. We play a couple of decent games and then suddenly we lose all forward going momentum and play like we are in a trance.

One of these days we are going to get it and keep it. Maybe it will start with Drake - then again maybe it won't.

How does that work? They might call a tie if there is four overtimes and still tied and how do they both only score 55?

Didn't your mom ever tell you to not sniff the glue? JK

Actually it does. The whole point of St. Louis is trying to win the whole damn thing. There's no moral victories there. It's balls out or nothing.

There is a BIG difference between having to win 3 in 3 days and 4 in 4 days. That's probably why only one play-in team has ever made it past the quarterfinals.

        Trust me. It DOES matter.

(But at this point, it doesn't, because we already sealed our fate.)

        ... No really, deuces.

I really don't think we have the talent to even make us a favorable contender in the tournament; we're young and inexperienced.

          There is always hope though.

Here's the deal. Drake is no cupcake but our young guns will bounce back from the lethargic road loss and win this one.

This game has become a very important game to win, to posture ourselves for going on the road, and also to prepare us for moving up in the rankings.

I think Marshall is going to do everything he can to bring a win to the fans at home. He does a really nice job at motivating the players especially in the second half.

If that is true, then explain the 2nd half of the Bradley game.

Sorry, some of my friends from youth have always referred to Drake as the geese.....Drake..duck...goose...geese....I know we were young, stupid and had too much time on our hands.

Larrisa Sevchenko is a long since departed women's tennis player who in the US open (I may have the tourney wrong) many, many years ago had a huge lead on a top seed and absolutely fell apart and all but had a breakdown on the court. Mary Carillo hence forth referred to choking as Larissa Sevchenko-ing...............remember, you asked. :D

Btw, no apology needed. I am fully aware that my attempt at humor finds no mark more often than not....yet I still try.
