  • I agree he should NOT have shot it but he got caught up in 10k fans yelling SHOOT. Stoopid kids.....hopefully he learns a lesson.

Marshall should not have tore into him either....rip JL but stay away from other programs kids. JL apologized and will take care of Roberts.

Again...good first half...I wish you guys would wear the Black though...don't like the gold uni's at all.

Now go knock of some more front runners please....:)

    • I would agree with tBU that HCGM shouldn't have said a word to Roberts and let Les handle that. At most, Marshall should have just looked right past him to the next player in line and refused to shake his hand.

Sometimes, silence can be more effective ridicule.

      • I taped the game and watched it later. Caught the 3 at the buzzer just as coaches shook hands. It looked to me that Les immediately apologized but I must have missed Gregg tearing into the player. Was that actually caught on camera or just mentioned on radio by MK because I didn’t see it?

        • 2 tears in a bucket, _ _ _ _ it. Road games are hard to get for any team. On a positive note we were tied with 13 to go in the second half and only had 11 turnovers. Anyway it is what it is another road loss. We need to pick one up next week.

Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, and Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

          • Talk about melt down city at 13 to go in the 2nd. Good lord, its like our players were replaced with a catholic prep school JV team. The 3 at the end of the game was hogwash, and I enjoyed HCGM telling Les and the punk it was F'n BS. If only we could start winning on the road, I'd be in love with HCGM. Oh and playing a little more consistently.

            • No, HCGM should never have said anything to the player. No.

It seems like whenever Chamberlain comes into the game, our offense comes to a screeching halt. Last night --just like every other game this year, instead of passing the ball, he dribbles around and around much like a 3rd grade basketball point guard. Our momentum was shot at that point due to selfish dribbling and a BU changing defense.

TM needs to be the backup PG.

                • When Bradley went to a zone our offense looked horrible. Mainly because when the shot clock hit 15 the point guard was still dribbling the ball around. Then the offense has to hurry just to get a shot off.

I love Marshall's emotion and enthusiasm, and I thought his reaction after the Evansville game was great and entirely appropriate -- unlike others who would have him count the number of fist pumps he does. But I agree that he shouldn't have said anything to the Bradley player (who by the way apparently wasn't trying to rub it in, but just got caught up in the crowd's yelling at him so they could win a deal on a steak dinner).

                    • A big hole in the roster (at least production wise) appears to be at the 3. How many times have Hawkins and Hatch been unable to knock down wide open treys? This deficiency causes the opposing D to sag and wreak havoc with trapping zones, which totally throws off our entire game. On top of that Hawkins didn’t have a single board last night and is not even in the same league as Cooz when it comes to D. If we had a capable (slightly above average) swing man who could occasionally knock down the open jumper then things would open up and the offense would look a lot more fluid…Oh how I miss Cooz.

                      • well, I dont understand why he wouldnt try kyles at the 3. He can shoot the 3 better than hawkins and potentially better than hatch. he also would add a lot of athleticism, he can drive, he can pass and see the floor well, runs the floor well, and plays great D (most of the time).

I just think kyles should play more period. Think TM should be back up pg - -too.

Everything will be fine. hope the Shox will get a big win on Saturday and win at Indiana State. Winning those two games will help going into playing at Evansville, which is a very winnable game.

BTW, what happened to our Whopper deals WSU had a few years ago? Was the deal if we scored 80, we would get $.80 cent Whoppers the next day? Why don't we have another promotion like that?

                          • Did everyone notice how Bradley was trying to trap Hannah, and it left him not being able to get the offense started? or take more shots?

Having a swingman (3) that can not hit the outside shot severely limits our offense, and throws our offense 'out of whack' sometimes. Hopefully next year, Coy will be able to 'right' that for us.

Because we would never collect on it? ZING!

I don't like this line of reasoning.

If they were 5 points away from triggering a promotion, would that justify hitting a quick 3 and trying to steal the ensuing inbounds pass?

The players should not be cognizant of these types of things, IMO.
