  • Predictions- 2nd Half of the MVC

Here is my stab at predicting the 2nd half of the Valley season.......

    1. Northern Iowa- 6-3 in last nine to finish 14-4
    2. Illinois State- 6-3 in last nine to finish 12-6
    3. Creighton- 6-3 in last nine to finish 11-7
    3. Southern Illinois- 7-2 in last nine to finish 11-7
    3. Bradley- 5-4 in last nine to finish 11-7
    6. Wichita State- 5-4 in last nine to finish 8-10
    6. Drake- 3-6 in last nine to finish 8-10
    8. Evansville- 2-7 in last nine to finish 6-12
    9. Missouri State- 3-6 in last nine to finish 5-13
    10. Indiana State- 2-7 in last nine to finish 4-14

SIU has a pretty easy 2nd half schedule and Evansville has a very difficult one. I projected the Shockers to win all four home games and to win at Indiana State. If that happens that would mean an 8-4 finish in the Valley after the 0-6 start. We would definately be a team that no one would want to see in St. Louis.

I think UNI falls in the 2nd half. I have a hard time believing they're the top team. ISU figures out their road issues and finishes the 2nd half strong to overtake UNI.

Everything else I pretty much agree with. Although I'm not sure SIU moves ahead of Bradley.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

I'd love to see 9-0, but

This is still a young inexperienced team and they will still have some rough times ahead this year. The future is bright though, but patience will still be required for awhile.

I looked for us to finish 4-5 (3-1 home, 1-4 road) to go 7-11 in the league.

          Loss - Bradley (road)
          Win - Drake (home)
          Win - Indiana State (road)
          Loss - Evansville (road)
          Win - Missouri State (home)
          Loss - Northern Iowa (home)
          Loss - Illinois State (road)
          Win - Indiana State (home)
          Loss - Southern Illinois (road)

I don't think we can sweep the Indiana road swing, but I think we can win one of the games.

My ability to predict outcomes has been incredibly inaccurate, so there's not much point in my trying to do anything based on logic or which team the Shox are playing.

I'm going with 12-6 to finish the league season. If that happens :bball_spin: :drum: :bball_spin:   it will be my first ever accurate prediction.

If we lose at BU, then I'm going with 11-7. Sooner or later I'll get a few right and that will be an improvement over what I've done.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
