Marshall was more than a little animated - I did not catch it real time, but KAKE had a shot of it and it was entertaining...

I actually think JP shows some actuall intelligence from time to time, but he called out our coach and I can understand why that gets a reaction on this board.

Shook his fists, jumped around and cheered.

      That's really about it....

In general, GM just doesn't do the media/PR butt-kissing that so many other coaches do, so I don't think he's winning any fans in that subset, but he's not trying either. He a fantastic communicator, but he says what he means.

After the shaking of the hands, Gregg was at halfcourt and did a pretty good Incredible Hulk impersonation, exhorting the fans and appreciating the effort of all involved. It was spontaneous, heartfelt and honest.

It certainly was not intended to disrespect anyone and if you listened to the postgame, I think you would get a feel for exactly how much respect he had for the effort and execution of the Evansville team Sunday.

IIRC, he said that WSU deserved to lose that one, and he gave all the credit in the world to EU's defense. He was just one of 10,000+ happy people in the building after the game.

The day Jeffrey Parsons actually buys a ticket to attend a game is the day he can criticize the passion that we the fans love to see.

I don't have problem with it. I rather the players and coaches show emotion and show they care than the opposite. And he wasn't trying to show-up the opponent.

How many times has WSU been beaten by those type of plays over the years. It was nice to see it go the other way and it was fun to celebrate it. If I was in the nose bleeds I would been on the floor "hulking it" with the coach.

I like Lutz and think he makes the transition to radio work. Parsons on the other hand, and RDR nailed it, is arrogant.

                He's a terrible golfer too.

Amen, RDR! IMO, BH and JP have become pompous jerks on this show. I used to enjoy watching the Sunday sports show, but now I normally want to vomit while it's on.

Given all the trials and tribulations HCGM went through upon his arrival in Wichita, I was glad to hear about (I didn't see it) his outburst of glee. If anyone had one coming it was him. I wonder if JP and BH were upset when Jim Les gave a chest bump to one of his players who came out of a game against us a couple of years ago, or when Dana struts around with upraised fists during the closing minutes of a win.

im4wsu said exactly what I was thinking last night while watching JP looking into the camera and grinning like a jackass eating ice sickles (sp?). These two clowns need to realize they are not God's gift to the sports journalism world.

                  Go HCGM and go Shox!

I agree NY, the quality of Sports Sunday has steadily decreased through the years.

Seems to me that during it's early years it was open-discourse amongst several hosts and guests in more of a living room set setting. These days it's just a couple of guys spouting opinion for a half-an-hour on a set straight out of 1985. I used to watch it religiously every Sunday night. These days.. eh, if I'm still up and it happens to be the most entertaining thing on then I might watch it.

Vagisal(sp), would be hilarious if a box was left on his seat. Forgot about that grin. Reminds me of the neighbor kid whose Dad knew Mickey Mantle and he didn't let you forget so you kicked his...........huh, just being hypothetical. I have also quit watching it as much, have become a Duda fan on KAKE.

Exactly. Everyone knows we shouldn't have won that game, but we did and with all that's happened in the last 3 years, I don't think anyone is going to apologize....I'm sure not. I feel bad that it had to happen to an Evansville team that played their collective hearts out but sometimes someone has to pay for what has happened in the past and yesterday that was Evansville.

I wasn't able to see what coach did but is Parsons flipping serious?

We're 6-20 in the last 26 Valley games entering the day and we get a huge come from behind victory that gives us our third straight win in a row.. and he calls Marshall's actions 'unprofessional'?

You guys pretty much summed everything up. It was meant as no disrespect to EU.

JP usually gives descent insight IMO. I didn't mind him. But with that lame potshot at coach, his credibility just went out the window. Prefect poster boy for KSuckUniversity.
                            Deuces Valley.
                            ... No really, deuces.

While I have no problem with JP, I totally disagree with his thoughts on Marshall's actions.

It was obvious that his actions were purely out of appreciation for the fans and his player's efforts, but perhaps even more importantly--also I think they were the expression of joy that comes after FINALLY being on the OTHER end of a close game like that. Lord knows we've been beaten more times then I care to count on last second shots. If I were Coach Marshall, I would've done the same thing.

I thought it was cool and I was happy for him. It's nice to withdraw from the luck bank every so often and not just deposit.

                              :goshocks:
