  • Durley vs. Evansville

I haven't seen or heard anything about this but JT didn't look like he was moving up and down the court very well during the game? Does anyone know if he's fighting an injury or something?

There were times that he looked like he could hardly jog down the court?

I heard or read something about him being under the weather yesterday.

JT had been under the weather. It certainly affected him yesterday.

As much as I complained about him earlier in the year with his defensive positioning, constantly jacking up outside shots, and lack of effort...

I must happily admit...he is improved in all areas. It is great to see improvement in players...even if it is just recognizing how to "play the game."

I agree...He has two more years and I think he will continue to be an important role in our progress...when we are deep enough for him to play the 4 rather than the 5...we will have that inside game we've all been talking about. As good as Clemente is, next year with Blair, Coy and Hamilton, we will be bigger , longer and deeper in the middle...and more experienced

I thought JT played a fine all around game yesterday.

During warmups yesterday he clearly looked under the weather. When he came out with a little over an hour to go before tip off he just sat on the Evansville bench with his head in his hands for about 10 mins. He didn't come back out until the whole team came out with about 30 mins to go. It also seemed if maybe Garrett wasn't feeling well too. He kept coming to the court for a few minutes and then back to the locker room. He did this 2 or three time before the game. I thought JT played pretty well yesterday.
Shocker fan since December 28th, 2005!

Sounds like Garrett had a case of the “Green-Apple-Quick-Steps”. :D

That would explain the "quick step" into the lane for the violation!

                      JT

Don't know if this was the case for JT, but stomach flu is going around here is practically at an epidemic state according to our daughter who works at one of the hospitals in Wichita.

As for Stutz stepping into the lane during an Evansville FT attempt, the guy sitting next to me said he was pushed by the Evansville player next to him. Of course, I'm sure that is to be expected. If it happened, he needs to learn how to resist it!

Fact, I ran into JTD in Wal-Mart after our last home win before the Valley schedule started.

Anyways, I told him good game and that it was awesome watching the guys go balls out. Ever since then he has always gone balls out, even when he was sick last night.

Yes, Stutz was nudged into the lane. I think it was a perfect microcosm of his strength issues.

Stomach flu is going around big time. I'm still fighting it as are both my parents. One of our PT girls is out sick today. I missed Thursday and Friday. Another branch is shorthanded because they've got three out with it and we have employees driving all over the place to cover.

If JT has this crap then he played a hell of a game yesterday.
