Great game. Both teams played very hard on the defensive end.
Shocks with perhaps their best half of basketball this year in the 2nd half.
Crowd at the CU game was better from beginning to end, but the crowd tonight was outstanding in the 2nd half. Plenty of seats available Shocker fans. Great fun and excitement if you can make it out.
Let's hope the guys are getting it and will continue to play with this same intensity the remainder of the year.

There are teams that he would match up better with and that's ok, that's college basketball.
He seemed to enjoy himself and his teammates from the bench tonight so I wouldn't be too concerned."Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should accomplish with your ability."

Even in Paul Miller's solid Senior year, there were a few games he seemed to get lost in the shuffle and did not match up as good as the game he scored 30 versus S. Illinois. In those few games, Ryan Martin or Kyle Wilson would pick up the slack. That team was tough because we went 8-9 deep with good players. Other nights, Karon Bradley would match up when Matty B. would be slightly off and hit some big shots and play some D. Likewise, in time, Mr. Stutz will be a stud here at WSU. I look for him to have some solid games yet THIS Season in certain match-ups.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Wait until we really get rolling (and I promise you it's going to happen) and we're going to take team after team out to the shed.

As I've said elsewhere, Odaikosa is not a good matchup for Garrett. He's a big, strong and quite athletic. He's not as skilled as others but he's the type of guy that right now can give Garrett fits.
I'm not worried.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Garrett will be fine and he's getting some OJT. We weren't deep enough at the post when the season started to have the luxury of red-shirting him. Give Garrett some training and conditioning under KR and a few extra helpings at the training table and battling against Paul Miller and other bigs during the summer and we should see a big improvement. You've got to remember too that he is still growing into his body after a huge growth spurt.

cant really question it but i was wandering if there was a known reason for mantas not playing tonight. its weird. one night he gives us great minutes then the next he wont play. are there nights he just cant go because of his knees?
and it was definitely interesting rotation to be down to 8 players in the second half with reggie and garret being the odd men out. cant really argue with it with the way everyone else was playing and the results. i think all the time outs being taken by illinois state from our defense gave our guys all the blows they needed so they didnt get fatigued and didnt need to sub as much.
i thought when we went to the lineup of murry, kyles, hatch, ellis, and clemente i thought we were in trouble. but that lineup really played well. only turnover was murry on the charge. I think he just has to do one of those a game where you are shake your head

There is only so much playing time to go around...with Ellis and Kyles snagging some extra minutes, it takes away from what Griskenas and even Stutz gets.
I'm sure if Ellis had not come through in such a big way, Griskenas and Stutz would have received more minutes. As it is, it's nice to have the kind of depth where you can find a hot hand and go with him.

Don't get me wrong I KNOW not think that Stutz will be great in time but the game moves at a different speed than he does and like mentioned he can't help that. He's already had some decent games with many more to come. I actually feel bad for the young man its hard to watch sometimes. It'll all come out with time. I too hope he has some more great games this year but I also think it is more than just a simple match up issue and if so there have been a lot of them lately.
