Johnny practiced today, PS said he belonged as much as any freshman on the first day of practice would.

He also mentioned a play during practice where DK soared through the lane and grabbed a rebound and dunked in one motion. (He also added a slap to the backboard  )

According to Marshall in tonight's coaches show DK had a VERY good practice today.

As we go along, it would not surprise me to see Toure acting more and more as the backup PG, with Kyles getting minutes at the 2 when Toure swings over. Kyles would be getting Reggie's minutes, in effect.

I also heard him say DK would be a very good player once he "Got it". He just hoped it was at WSU...

Hence the reason recruiting season never ends for a college coach.
Even when you have a full complement of scholarship players set for the next season, you continue to recruit, recruit and recruit some more. 8)
Above all, make the right call.

I suppose you could take that one of several ways -----

DK will get discouraged with lack of playing time and leave, or
DK will not "GET IT" and will be asked to leave, or
my favorite: DK will "GET IT" and go on to be the top player GM knows he can be at WSU.

I'm leaning towards option number three!

DK has the tools if he can put it together. He and Toure could be quite the combo.

                  DK

I listened to GM talk about David Kyles after the game 2 games ago. It was the one where WSU had tied up the score. DK got the ball & drove for a dunk with 2 guys on him & missed it. His man then went down a scored & WSU never caught up after that. GM said he talked to DK about how it is that when he makes a mistake, he can't hang his head but has to keep playing, etc. He said that DK is very respectful & was ashamed of what he'd done. I like DK's attitude. I think he's going to make it! Attitude is everything in sports, particularly if you have god given ability as he does

Yeah I noticed that. But I won't speculate or read anything into it for now. He may have just basically been trying to say he hopes he "gets it" before his elidgibility is up. I too hope he "gets it" while he is at WSU.
