How did the Chuck look on TV? I know when I saw it last season the floor made it look very yellow, too yellowish if you ask me.

I'm curious if the lighter colored floor made it look better when broadcast. Can anyone set me straight on this?

    Thanks

It looked superior, especially the new logo.Fans were excellent and C. Spoonhour and the play by play guy just raved about the environment.

      Awesome! Thanks for the info.

      :good:

P.S. Did they get a good shot of Wu crowd surfing to open the second half?

I had a crazy day and was unable to go to the game or watch it.

Anybody know how I can score a copy of the game to watch?

It looked great, the crowd looked awesome, and it sounded loud.
One critique though: The camera angle is terrible. It seems too flat or close to the floor. They need to place the cameras up in the rafters.
Where are the cameras currently located? Right above an exit to the concession area?

I have always hated this about watching WSU games. It's the only arena I have ever seen with such a low camera set up.

Is Mitch Houltis still the play-by-play guy with Spoon ?

Mitch does play by play with Charlie S. The cameras are located at the same level as the exits. I agree that they should do something about it but that would mean taking seats out and I'm not sure WSU wants to give up those reserved seats. The wide shot they show of the entire arena when the ball is not in play is on the right side of the student section up in the nose bleeds. They block out 8 or 9 seats for that camera.

No, yesterday I believe it was Spoon and Dan McLaughlin. I know Mitch is doing a lot of play-by-play for the 'new' Big 12 Network... possibly a few Valley games when there's not a conflict.

It doesn't matter much where you put the camera, you're going to get the same angle from anywhere other than the rafters.

It's the slope of the seats that determines the camera angle, and you get the same angle from all locations because the slope to the seating never changes.

That makes sense Aargh. Maybe it's just that the cameras are too close to the court which makes it seem flat. Perhaps they just need to construct a camera nest in the rafters. It really drives me nuts though.

It's never really bothered me much. I find it to be much better than the camera angle at OSU which I believe is somehow shot from a blimp. (I'm pretty sure it's OSU)

At the beginning of the game, all the black shirts actually made the arena look less than full. Your eyes kind of played tricks on you. I've watched other games that seemed noiser, but as the game wore on, the crowd was definitely impressive on TV.

Spoon and McLaughlin were definitely impressed with the crowd, especially considering it was a crowd watching an 0-6 team.

But as I said before, I am all about the Black. Black floor, black unis, black shirts in the stands.... It should be that way all of the time...
