  • This is what we needed today

    Our form as a team looked fantastic and such voracious defense. Although turnovers are still a problem, this is a fantastic day to have a win!

    Seeing Ramon smile like he was on the court was a GREAT thing to see!

        This was a fantastic effort by the Shocks. If we play like this every game (and reduce turnovers), we can finish in the Top 6 in the MVC. Imagine if we finished the Valley season at 12-6. :lol:

        Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

              The best part of the game, other than the crowd erupting when AE grabbed that last board, was Coach Marshall staring down Altman in the middle of the first half. We were up by 10 or so and a foul had just been called on CU and Marshall just turned to the CU bench, crossed his arms, and stared down Altman almost as if to say "Get used to it Dana, it's going to be a long day for you, today and every day we play"

                I refrained because we just got done punking the BJ's by 13. I'll keep the negativity off for at least one night!

                    I think so. Drake also got embarrassed at home against UNI. They were down by more than 30 most of the game.

                      To be realistic, look at http://thebluejaycafe.com/BB/viewtopic.php?t=11731. ;-) :lol:

                      Creighton fans are saying things like:

                      I'm completely baffled how we are even remotely in this game. This is one of those bizarre games where one team gets completely schooled at both ends of the court, but somehow the other team "hangs around." Very little reason to be optimistic, but ... still bizarre.

                      The officials are not even remotely the reason this game is the way it is ... but how can you "allow them to play" when somebody gets hacked on a shot and then call another "hand check" at the other end of the court?

                      We let them remain in the game. Turnovers are still a problem.

                        We need to savor this one. I think they've learned about all they can 'learn' from losing. Hopefully they'll learn a LOT more with this win.

                        Effort=winning
                        Confidence=winning
                        Never letting up=winning
                        Being proud to wear the black and gold=winning

                        This is the best thing that could've happened to us today. It's just one in a row, so it's time to add some to it over the next few games. We're not going to win every game, but if we compete like this, we'll have the chance to. There are still going to be ups and downs, and probably more downs than ups, but it's awesome to see that when they give their full effort they can be pretty good.

                        RAMON IS BACK.

                          Bingo. Don't forget free throw shooting too. If we shot better, it would've been even more decisive. We still have lots to work on, but the nice thing is, we have a lot to BUILD on to with this one.

                          WE WANTED THIS MORE. WE ASSERTED OURSELVES. Creighton never seemed to have the 'desire' to do what it took today. Not suprising--we needed it a lot more than they did. This loss is no more than a minor setback to a very good basketball team. On the other hand for the Shox, it could be the start of an upward turn--even if it is a slow one.

                          Wednesday night will be very interesting. Interesting to see how we respond to this--how we LEARN.

                            That's pretty humorous considering the free throw attempts were pretty much dead even.

                            Weak, but expected from BlowJoe fans.

                              How can you deny the effort the Shocks gave tonight. Sure there were mistakes, but they are the kind of mistakes that will lessen as the season goes on and our players get more experience.
                              We all knew that this was another rebuilding season. I admit that I forgot that and let my expectations outrun my intellect. My bad.
                              Coach Marshall has done an amazing job recruiting and coaching.
                              The rest of this year will be great fun to watch, and next year will be even better.
                              I got too anxious for a winner and forgot that excellence takes years to develop. In my opinion this program is definitely headed that way.
