I'd agree to a point. BJ's struggled early which gave us confidence, I thought. There is no substitute for playing agressively and playing with confidence.
It seems at least one CU fan can't accept that our fans are simply more loyal and know how to cheer on our team.
Well, they are a soccer school.
They are sad lot of fans - this made me laugh

ISASO,
You may want to put this quote in storage from one of favorite jerk BJ fans - Rasputin
I just think these supposed "coup" recruits that we've gotten are turning out to be duds in some respects
I really liked the effort the team showed yesterday. They came to compete and fed of the crowd. Not real happy with the turnovers or the free throw shooting that allowed Creighton to hang around but overjoyed with the effort and the win. They dominated on offense, defense and on the boards. If they come to compete like that in the rest of their games they will win a few more.
What's the word on the CU big man that got hurt when JT denied him access to the rim? I don't recall him coming back in and wondered if there'd been any report on his condition.
Any time you out rebound a team 47-22, then you have a great shot at beating them. It would be hard for the losing team to explain away that stat with any excuses that would amount to peanuts.
Sub---I have not heard an update on his condition. He really hit the floor hard and let's hope he will be okay.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I said at the time that I just thought he hit his funny bone. He hit hard and he was ok. WSU fans showed their typical good nature by cheering LOUDLY for him as he left the court (something we never get credit for).
He is fine in fact he returned to the game in the 2nd half but was so ineffective he played sparingly. Dana was not happy with his 2 headed post monster that combined for 4 points and 6 rebounds.
If he did return then that's a good sign even if he wasn't effective. The broadcasters kept saying he never came back in but I wasn't sure. I'm glad nothing serious happened other than the supreme embarrassmen of having his dunk attempt denied.
Here are a few items I can take from yesterday's game.
How do we bottle the effort? I can handle a supremely large amount of losses with a full effort like yesterday. I don't even like wins when we are lifeless, lazy and without heart.
JT and Aaron: Nice to see you young men. What it must be like to be that physically talented. Please build on that game.
I think Toure, right now...today, is one of the 10 or 15 best overall players in the league. Stud doesn't begin to describe where he is heading.
In 9 minutes, Garrett showed a lot of progress. Again, a huge building block. The MVC better hope he doesn't get better.
If you don't think the crowd (you) can make a difference then you are lost. The crowd was great. The team was great. They fed off each other. Why can't every game be like that?
Limited promotions made timeout fan frenziness possible. That helped but I cannot help to wonder why.........
Without question CU did not play well or compete hard. WSU deserves at least some of that credit. It was hardly a perfect storm of a game for the Shocks though.....there is PLENTY of room for improvement. The effort was certainly A game.
I want someone to call the coaches show tomorrow and ask what Ramon came over to coach for with aobut 15 seconds left and we were running out the clock...I turned to my buddy and said my guess that he wanted to call a timeout and run a lob play...

Have you run out of minutes on your phone?
Just trmember to say "Thanks, I'll hang up and listen".

A physician called into a radio show and said: "That's the definition of a stool sample."

Good call. That's exactly what transpired.
That happened essentially in my lap. In an odd way I enjoyed that....that was a kid enjoying being a kid....something that we as fans older than kids forget from time to time.
Gregg was not annoyed with the question....he just politely shook his head no and went about his business. It was the furthest thing from his mind at the time.
