Very nice. Had a great time at the game. Team had fun for a change.
The Shocks looked like a Basketball TEAM today. Hopefully, this will prove to be turning point and the can sustain the good play and the great effort.
Still a couple of things to shore up, but all in when was the last time we finished a game vs CU by dribling out the last 25 seconds unopposed. How much fun was that.
Even the half time show was the best of the year.
Thank you Shocks for not giving up or giving in and showing you do, in fact, have what it takes.
Shockers outrebounded CU by a 47 - 22 margin. That pretty much tells the story. In short, the Shocks manhandled the BJ's and simply wanted the game more.
Toure looked all world today. Hatch's drives to the hole were key. Aaron played great including a world class block that had to make them worry that they were going to get everything stuffed. clemente rebounding...Clevin popping...Durley at the right place right time also great block...great drives by AJ...Stellar defense by all...and FANS...Sellout for 0-6 team...AAAAAAAAWWWWWWEEEEEEEEsome! :wsu_posters:                                                                Our FANS:clap:
I agree on the blackout idea. WSU should wear those jerseys every game and the crowd did look good in all that black as well.
Black has always been my favorite color and the Shox my favorite (and only team that I am a fan of), I agree with those about the Yellow. Have hated it since Fogler and Perkins came to town and brought the Yellow Jerseys and Yellow floor.
This was a great game today, and it gave us a glimpse of the future with Marshall as our coach (not necessarily this year). We saw athleticisim, attitude, tenacity, and yes even some basketball IQ today.
With two more games at home, the Shox need to listen to the replay of this game in their sleep every night. Don't give them any opportunity to let this experience slip out of their collective consciousness.
Kept an eye on P'Allen today for entertainmane value, some observastions...
1. Around midway through the first half he ends up laying on the ground in the paint and he grabs Durley's leg and gives it quite a yank, luckily Durley did not react...
2. In the second half after a whistle took a couple steps toward the game ball and started a kicking motion before stopping himself...
3. Was the cause of the Delay of game warning against Creighton for grabbing the ball after a made Creighton basket and throwing toward the tunnel...
3. After the final buzzer got up and started directly toward the locker room before anothet player grabbed him in pushed him into the handshake line...
4. When he goes to the bench seems to purposely go toward the end to be as far away from Altman as possible...
Box score for the Wichita State Shockers vs. Creighton Bluejays NCAAM game from January 17, 2009 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.
"Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

He is a front running grandstander.

My favorite play of his was just randomly at the start of their possession they tossed him the ball and he just misses it and knocks it out of bounds.. classic!
