Exactly, we defending the drive in the first half almost flawlessly. We held Creighton to 21 points. And (without the box score to reference), nearly half of that was from the free throw line.

The particular mix of help man to man and zone we threw at them kept Creighton from getting the ball inside to their bigs or with their guards. And our on ball defense kept them from jacking up threes that were open (most of the time). You could tell they were getting frustrated. Stinnett was pissed, and getting a little "shovy" with Hatch, who isn't a get-in-your-face guy after the play's ended.

I liked the effort, we got in their head and other than Woodfox, who is a gamer, Creighton got out toughed and out played.

Didn't help the Jays that there was these fellas named Clemente and Murry who showed up every time there was a play that needed to be made on the boards or during the press break.

Now that it's been established that the BlowJays are probably the softest bunch of BoogerEaters in the valley,other teams will watch the film of this game and exploit thier lack of hustle and softness inside.....EXPOSED

Murry, Durley, and Ellis all played a great all around first half, and Hawkins, Hatch, and Clemente came on strong in the second. The guys were cuttin hard, making crisp passes, and really played with passion. We imposed our will on CU today! The defense was VERY good. We rotated for help D and cut off driving and passing lanes. What a great game from our young team.

Oh yeah, Murry is going to be special sooner rather than later.

Like I said earlier in the thread, it's amazing how good we look when we stop turning the ball over.. and actually PASS the basketball.

Our defense, rebounding, and particularly our shot-blocking made it icing on the cake.

Ok, everyone wears black from now on. I never owned any "yellow" until Turgeon and Schaus wanted to wear yellow and change our "outlaw" image. As far as I'm concerned its back to black. And no more yell leaders at mens bb games. Just the dance team. I think this is the formula we need to replicate.

To everybody who was calling for coach Marshall's head and saying he couldn't coach, what do you have to say now? I'm sure most of you either won't show up or will say it's only one game. Watch all the bandwagoners come runnin back after todays performance.

It was great winning and will be wonderful not having to see so many stupid posts the next few days.

I agree on the blackout idea. WSU should wear those jerseys every game and the crowd did look good in all that black as well.
