  • St. Louis Reminder

Just a reminder today is the last day to order your tickets to the MVC Tournament at the discounted rate. I just put in my order for 8. I think the price goes up by $15 per ticket starting tomorrow.

Ordered 4 yesterday on-line @ $95 ea. plus S&H... I think they're actually $115 ea. plus S&H tomorrow. I understand that you can also purchase them tonight at the game.

Yes, they are $95 plus $4 "fee" per ticket = $99 total. I think that goes up to $114 total starting tomorrow.

I've ask this before and haven't gotten an intelligent response.

          So, here goes -

What success have folks had selling their non-WSU tickets? I am wondering if I pay an all-session pass if it will end up being cheaper than being single-game tix for just the Shox games.

I've purchased other folks WSU tickets from their all-tournament passes, but never tried to sell.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

It depends on what game you're trying to sell the tickets for. The offers are generally not that great. I got offered $10 for my championship game tix and I laughed and walked away. If you buy the all session pass you get access to some great basketball!

You have a better chance at getting money for your tickets the earlier it is in the tournament. The further it gets, more of the other losing teams' fans have sold their all-session tickets already. Scalpers practically give away championship game tickets.

With that being said, you'd probably be much better off buying WSU single games off of other's all session passes.

I don't know the answer, but I will take a stab at it.

The all sessions ticket costs $95.

If the Shockers go one and done, then you will have 4 sessions to sell.

I doubt, if the scalpers will pay more than $10 per session ticket.

                So, 4 sessions x $10 = $40.

                $95 - $40 = $55.

If the Shockers win one game, then the total cost will be $95 - $30 = $65.

I am pretty sure the most economical way to go is purchase Shocker session tickets as required. If tickets are not available from fans, then there are many scalpers, who will accomodate you.

Part of the enjoyment is to sit with other Shocker fans.

If I failed to answer your question, I apologize.

You might try Nobama. I am sure he has the answer to all questions.

One thing that makes a difference is where your tickets are. The last couple years I've had excellent seats. Last year I was in a hurry to unload some of my extra tickets to 2 sessions and just sold them to a scalper for $40 per ticket per session (he said he could sell them for $80 each because of the location)...that pretty much paid for my all session passes right there...then I sold 8 tickets to the championship game to some loaded Drake fan for $400. I sold some of the others too, but don't remember for how much. In the end, I went to the Shocks one and only game on Thursday, made one or two other games and sold the rest...ended up making some extra money to blow at the casino :(

As for tickets up top, if you try and sell them to a scalper, they'll probably offer you $10. Depending on who's playing, you can probably waste your time trying to find someone to buy them and get 15 - 20 for them. The best you can hope for is having SIU, MSU or some of the other schools who's fans wait to come on Saturday if there team is still in it. If it's packed and sold out, like it was a couple years ago, you can sell Saturday and Sunday tickets for a lot. Sorry for the long winded response.

Thanks for the responses - I appreciate it.

Last year, I and the folks I was with were fortunate enough to be buying single session tickets for the WSU game when Lynn Marshall walked up and gave all five of us tickets for the game.
