  • Clevin "Cool-hand" Hannah

The more I watch this guy the more excited I get. He is so stable with the ball, has a high assist count and an excellent assist per game ratio. He passes very well, and shoots well.

But more than all that I like how he controls the flow of the offense. He doesn't panic with the ball. He really is a leader on the court.

I know he is a junior, and you might expect that out of a junior, except not out of a juco player so early. He really exceeds my expectations in terms of leadership for a juco player (with such little experience at this level and so early in the season).

I feel a lot better when "Coolhand" is in the game!

Bahahah. I got more props for other players too -- but so far he's the man.

What was the first major upset? Us beating Northern Arizona?
                Deuces Valley.
                ... No really, deuces.

Probably Siena. I don't know if I'd call it a major upset though.

I will say that when Hannah plays within the flow he's been very good. There's been a few games where he tries to force too much and those nights I want to kick him in the head. But he is someone who can get others good looks and knock down shots when needed.

Yup, beating Sienna was a major upset _at the time_. Seriously, this is a rebuilding year and beating a top 40 ranked team early in the season on neutral turf is a major accomplishment. Spin it any way you want, but statistically we weren't supposed to win that match.

Sure Clevin has had some off nights -- but the point is he is playing very strong and dialing in nicely for a guy that hasn't played at this level until just a couple months ago - that's all I'm saying.

But like I said there are more props to be handed out to this new crew too.

It was an upset, but I could never call a win over any MAAC team 'a major upset'.

                        Sorry.

Well, if you look at their track record now, as opposed to a preseason rating, you obviously come up with the conclusion that they were, in fact, over rated.

So, yeah, an upset, but not all that.
