Thank goodness the Turgeon recruits bailed on us like they did. There's not one new player on this team that I would want to trade for any of the guys that took off.
It is unfortunate that Hatch was not able to redshirt last year. Just think what he would be like if this were his first official year, with three more years to follow. Of course, its early, but he appears to be the kind of player that any team wants to have around for many years, e.g., hard worker, mature, leader by example and very coachable.
During his mission Hatch had very few hour he could spend on basketball. He spent around 16 or so hours a day on mission work. These days he is often the first person to practice and the last to leave. According to the strength coach KR he is in the top 3 workers in the weight room. For whatever reason the Hatch you see this season is nowhere near the Hatch we saw last year. Last year he just played because we had no other choice, this year he is earning his time. He is still a deadly three point shooter but he can also play defense and drive the lane.

I'm glad Hatch stuck around though.
Bowles got 2 mopup minutes when aTm played Ark-Pine Bluff. He did get 4 points in those 2 minutes.
I never thought he was headed here any way, but I don't think losing him was a big loss.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
