I guess I have never really understood this discussion. We support a school without a traditional student fan base. The students try, but don't dominate the crowd activities like at so many other schools. Anything that can be done to get the "older" crowd involved should be done as much as possible. Do you want to watch a movie or a men's college basketball game? Do you want to be in the library or in what some call one of toughest arenas to play in the country?
Coach wants me to stand and clap and yell until the opposing teams scores a FG, then I am standing and clapping and yelling until the opponent scores a FG. I just hope I don't look like an idiot standing alone, but if I do it won't be the first time. And if I am in front of you (and I am in front of most people) and you choose not to sit....1) You aren't going to see much if anything and 2) don't even bother saying "Down in front".

I think you meant to say 'choose not to stand', but regardless, worrdd.

Every NEW coach tries to change this....what about tradition?
I remember a few former coaches wanted to reverse it--When we score we sit down. This year that might be the right call.
Not to call out WuDrWU but, who calls Koch Arena one of the toughest areans to play in the country? I am just curious on who said that.
Thanks and I will listen off the air.
The stand for D makes more sense. see previous posts. i can understand the stand til we score about 10-15 years ago when we werent exactly good and sometimes it took us a long time to score. And there are several teams that have called Koch one of the toughest arenas to play in the country. I remember in the NIT i believe the Florida State head coach said we had one of the loudest buildings they had been in. That includes Cameron Indoor. And one of the first things Coach Marshall said was that he couldnt wait to hear our crowd because he had obviously heard about our wonderful crowds!
