  • Rotations for Monday Night

What should we expect come Monday night? Who should we expect to start? Will coach hold back some? What are some real expectations for our non-con?

Let's get back to talking Shocker Basketball......

I'm looking forward to Durley. Two years removed from knee surgery, he should be ready to dominate on the inside. I would like to see him start creating space..... ala Jai Lewis Style..... He needs to plant his rear end down on the block and demand the ball.

I expect a lot of players to see good minutes as HCGM said he was basically going to use the game as a practice.

I expect to see Hannah and Chamberlain to get most of the minutes at point. Hannah will probably start. Maybe Murry also getting a few looks.

At SG Murry, Kyles, and Hatch. I look for Murry to start. Hannah and Chamberlain could also get some looks at SG.

The SF is Hawkins starting. HCGM said at media day he will use Hatch at SF some this year. We could always go three guards.

PF is Clemente with Griskenas backing him up. I guess Ellis is out for a while with the sprained toe.

C looks to be Durley starting but we should get to see our 7 foot freshman.

Hawk, J.T., and Ramon are 100% guaranteed locks for starters. The other two are anybody's guess, but I can guarantee you one of them won't be Hatch.

Stutz will get run ragged chasing those little ESU guys around all night. But, he is in good shape so I'm sure he will get some nice minutes and easy baskets.

if hatch starts its not bc its the best lineup but bc of the most experience. i would expect to see reggie there before him. but if we went with best lineup potential it would be

            pg. hannah
            sg. hawkins
            sf. ellis
            pf. clemente
            c/f. durley

I spoke briefly with Ellis a few days ago. He said the toe was feeling better -- he called it 80 percent -- and that it would be a gametime decision whether he played or not Monday. Don't know if that was wishful thinking on his part.

He said he would definitely be back for the regular season opener.
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

I hope they hold Ellis out. The main cause of recurrence of turf toe is coming back before it's completely healed.

Good news on Ellis and the even better news will be that he won't play on Monday. No reason to push it.

                          No suprise in my projection:

                          Hannah
                          Murry
                          Hwkins
                          Clemente
                          Durley

                          Back-ups:

                          Chamberlain
                          Kyles
                          Hatch
                          Griskenas
                          Stutz

I expect to see Coach mix and match plenty with four players getting some time at point. Murry, Kyles, Hatch, and Griskenas may all get looks at SF. At this point, I would guess that Murry is the SF of the future (2010-12) IF we want to play three guard line-ups. I would prefer he play SG and Blair/Ellis split time there, but who knows.

Wufan ... I agree with your assessment for starters and backups. If we get very far ahead, Reggie Britton might see a little playing time as well. He is a step above for a normal walkon from what I have seen of him.
