Schedulings easy because they think were easy pickens

Scheduling difficulties remained a hot topic. Southern Illinois is one game short after a team backed out on a game. Marshall said putting together a schedule was easy for him after an 11-20 season.

"A lot of people wanted to play our team this year," he said. "They saw us play last year and they know the turnover in our roster. You remember those calls. I'll be calling them back in a couple of years."

Now lets hope we can shock some of those who think we will be easy pickens! Looking forward to our scheduling getting more difficult each year. :goshocks: :clap: 8)

I think 11 was referencing "difficulty scheduling" in terms of how hard it might be in the future to book quality opponents.

I took it to mean that this year (because of the way we played last year and because of our turnover and our young team) a lot of teams wanted to play us (as you say "easy pickins"), but give us a couple of years and the tables will have turned and Marshall will be the one calling those same teams back because we are good and they are "easy pickins".

I believe that LSU will end up wondering why they just didn't go ahead and play us this year instead of putting it off until next year.
