Wichita State never would have won that game with today's refs. That last drive by Carr for the basket would have been waved off because of a charging foul.

"Name" players can still make that move without a charge called.

I think there is more contact in current games than there was in that game. Current officials either let the contact go or try to call everything.

I think current officials would have called fouls on a lot of the steals in that game.

I love the officiating in this game! Those were the days when watcing college basketball (specifically Shockers) was fun! Good pace and games not controlled by the officials. Granted it was an out of conference opoonent, but so refreshing nonetheless. I so wish we could play in another conference. lol 8)

Unless WSU was in a "Bigger time" conference, the reffing would probably be worse than in the MVC. Maybe CUSA has better, but I doubt it.
