  • Tickets for Old Spice Tournament

Help, I've never used Ticketmaster before or purchased selected seating on-line.

Will there be a designated block of seats or a reserved area of seats which can be purchased for Shocker fans only for these games? I would really prefer not to buried in the midst of Hoya fans.

When buying tickets for the second and third days (when you do not know for sure, whether we will win our first or second games), how do you know which time to purchase the tickets for?

Or are the tickets good not for just one designated time, but for the whole day?

    Your advice will be appreciated.

Wow, thanks, AG1219, that answered everything.

We went on the Ticketmaster website tonight and it appears all session passes are sold out - or it just won't let us buy any. We can't speak to a human being at Ticketmaster until tomorrow. Has anyone had any luck getting tickets? It looks like we can get single session passes for WSU games - but we wanted all session passes. Anyone have any ideas?

I called the number for the Booster Tickets from the ticketmaster website. There is a recording to leave your name and phone number and they will contact you. I called Friday late afternoon, have not received a call back.

Ticketmaster says the tournament is not sold out, but the organizer has not released all the tickets to be sold yet. So, I emailed the tournament and here is the response I got from them:

I apologize for the inconvenience with the tickets for the Old Spice Classic. We have had some difficulties with the participating schools letting us know how many tickets they would be needing and this has caused some holds on tickets that would be available to the general public. We are doing our best to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
We can exchange the single session tickets for all tournament packs for you once we have ironed out the team order issues if you would like, however buying 6 single sessions tickets is the same cost as the all session packs and does get you in to all the games. From the tickets you have purchased you are set to see the entire tournament. We can do which ever you would like to do once we have all the ticket orders in from the participating teams.

I hope that helps. Please let me know what you would like to do and I will take care of it.
However, note that if you buy 6 single sessions, you incur 6 ticketmaster charges and they end up costing $106.50 instead of $90 for all session.
Hopefully they will make this right in the near future. So, bottom line is, if you are trying to go to the tournament, they are not sold out, but you may not get your session passes as early as promised.

I despise the way ticket bastard fleeces the consumers.

Just received a call back from the Old Spice Classic and bought 2 Booster tickets. They are $45 each and are for the three sessions WSU will be playing. They did hit me with a $7 mailing fee though. :-x

Has anybody gotten booster package tickets. I've left 4 messgaes, talked to WSU and have nothing to show for it. I am booked for the trip, but do not have tickets. Can anyone help me locate the right place to go for tickets?

EDIT Forget the question, I just received the call and got my tickets.

We called a week ago last Friday (late afternoon) and they called back on Monday afternoon. Took our order and said they would have them in the mail in a few weeks.

Just got a letter in the mail (saturday) saying the charter flight portion of the trip was cancelled but would be flying commercial to and from. I had heard that at one time they were looking at two flights. Now they say that the charter is not viable. My question is how is the team flying and are they taking the big time boosters on that plane and bumped some of us to make room for them and did not have enough takers for the second plane? If thats the case I'll be miffed and won't go at all since I know we were some of the first to sign on. :(

My guess is that they did not get as many supporters to justify a chartered MD80 or similar sized plane. The team will therefore be flying on a smaller jet, i.e., 20 passenger. It's a shame there weren't enough people signed up to justify the larger aircraft, but supporters can possibly save a few bucks by making their own arrangements.

Who wants to get on an MD80, other than those on a suicide mission.
