No Child Left Behind?!

This was an issue long before that.

True but it is much worse now. I could tell you stories about incoming freshman ... but I'm not free to do so. Trust me; the pressure on high schools to make their students pass the "No Child Left Behind" tests is causing lots of problems. Imagine if you're a high school teacher and many of your graduating seniors can't factor 64 - but they're exerts at punching buttons on a calculator. Ask a high school student to make change without a calculator. It's tough in the trenches; I know.

He'll soon realize than being in a foreign country when you're only 18 years old and you're away from everything you knew is pretty damn hard. I wish him the best

African 18 year olds do it all the time. Except they come over here and have to go to school on top of basketball. I'm sure he will be fine.

If one and done kids aren't going to take their college courses seriously and are going to skip class everyday in their second semester, then I would rather see them do this. It works out for the kid because he doesn't have to go to class and it works out best for the college, because the classes and the teams don't have to put up with someone who doesn't want to be there.

Hell hath frozen over again, as I cannot agree more with 'City. College should be for STUDENT-Athletes, the most talented and successful of which go on to the pro leagues, and the not so talented get degrees and become successful members of our communities who are in very high demand.

I personally thought he was going to be a bust.

Very small sample size into his career and hes done pretty well for a pretty crappy team.
