X-Man was an enforcer here. He protected the feisty Gary Cundiff a time or two on the hardwood. You have to respect the confidence he had in his game when he asked A. Carr and Ciff L. which one was planning on not starting upon his arrival. X could back up the smack he seemed to offer. Dick Versace, coach of Bradley even doubted X and alleged padding of rebound stats. Later, X came to Bradley's house and lit them up like a Christmas tree, and did his talking with his game.
When X would come and play here in the summer during his Pro career, as he was roughing and toughening up John Smith, Claudius Johnson, Skip Nickerson, Tony Johnson, etc., I was afraid he would injure one of them. Talk about competitive!! One the the Shocker players was wagging his tongue like Michael Jordan and X stopped the game. He firmly lectured him trying to emulate Michael Jodan, and informed him that there was only 1 Michael Jordan!!!
