Ok, so I came back from Hawaii. I'll be going back in '09 though for a little tourney.

It's a good opportunity for the program with very respected and high profile competition.

        Go Shocks!!!!
I'd go for a little Maui Wowee!

                Either will suffice.

Any word on who the other teams playing in Maui are going to be? The article said the rest of the field would be announced at the end of this month...by my calendar that's only one more day!

Well, it's none of these teams: Alabama, Indiana, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon, Saint Joseph’s and Texas. They're all playing in 08.
Those teams were announced this past January, so I really don't think we'll hear about it until later. Unless the staff finds out something different.

And it won't be the 07 teams either: Arizona State, Duke, Illinois, LSU, Marquette, Oklahoma State, Princeton

I would guess possibly a mix of these teams:
                    2002
                    Arizona State
                    Chaminade
                    Gonzaga
                    Indiana
                    Kentucky
                    Massachusetts
                    Utah
                    Virginia

                    2003
                    Central Michigan
                    Chaminade
                    Dayton
                    Hawaii
                    Ohio State
                    San Diego State
                    Santa Clara
                    Villanova

                    2004
                    BYU
                    Chaminade
                    Iowa
                    Louisville
                    North Carolina
                    Stanford
                    Tennessee
                    Texas

                    2005
                    Arizona
                    Arkansas
                    Chaminade
                    UCONN
                    Gonzaga
                    KU
                    Maryland
                    Mich St.

                    2006
                    DePaul
                    Ga Tech
                    Kentucky
                    Memphis
                    OU
                    Purdue
                    UCLA

I appears that they use the same teams over and over again.
Also, there is typically an ACC, Big 12, Pac 10, and 2 of the 3 out of the Big East, SEC, and Big 10. Puts us in some pretty good company if it plays out that way. Of course 2003 was a strange year.

This link shows the past fields, so you can all take a peek at who has been out there.

We'll keep getting tourney offers. I was chatting with someone who works for the Valley and the word is out (and not just within the Valley) that Shocker fans travel. Kinda funny they are thinking about moving the MVC tourney closer to those WSU and Creighton fan bases ($$$$). My how perceptions change in a few years time. LOL.

Money talks, and it talks really loud. Same can be said for K-State and their bowl games. That's why they get the invite, cause half the state heads for wherever they are.

Since this came up again, I just looked and it still doesn't have the 2009 field listed, but I bet we could find them by digging a little.

I found a re-post of the article on a message board (which I won't repost here), but there were no other definite participants for the CBE Classic, though Iowa and Texas were being discussed.
