Randy came from a JUCO in Illinois in '79 and played through the '80-'81 season. His dad was coaching Illinois State before he came to WSU. Not sure about Jay Jackson.

I'm checking from the "Source", but I believe Randy had a year at Illinois State, then transferred to Cowley for a year when Gene came here. That way he did not have to sit out a year while waiting to come to WSU.

Okay, I asked Randy for the answer and here was his reply.

"You are right. I played a year at ISU then a year with Jay @ Cowley then finished @ WSU."
