I'm assuming it has something to do with our fearless leader and that 'other school' opening a couple of months ago.

Those type of guys are never going to give us respect until we start making the tourney regularly (and we WILL) and even though SC is no better right now than we are, it's the same old story about 'bigger' schools getting automatic preference just because they are who they are. Of course why WOULDN'T he want to go there? They just don't get it unfortunately.

No suprises there. Just look at OU and baseball, but that's a whole different thread.

HCGM knows the potential here now, and I doubt he cares at all what people like them say.

Did I summarize correctly? I haven't read the article/story, but I bet it's something like that same old boring story.

well the Predraft game is at walt disney world and they started to start about the Walt Disney Classic for next year and basically said we would be the one ot go 0-3 because we are the only team in the field that had no post season. Then they started ranting about how Gregg Marshall shouldnt have left winthrop because if didnt he prolly be at South Carolina.

Then they started ranting about how Gregg Marshall shouldnt have left winthrop because if didnt he prolly be at South Carolina.

In a couple of years we'll probably be as good or better than Winthrop, in a better and tougher conference. Down the road if he/when he leaves us his opportunities will be far, far better than South Carolina.

Sounded to me that they said WSU is the only team that doesn't have post season play in THEIR FUTURE. What, does he have some crystal ball or something? LOL Granted it's a long road to post season and we will be young...but still....it's freakin MAY!!! Comments like that already?

Those two turds truly deserve each other. They literally run their pie holes just to hear each other. Instead of exposing the general public to their juvenile diatribe, they should have just stayed in the lockeroom and played footsies in the hot tub. 8)

It's basically the same thing that was said on ESPN back when Odom announced he was retiring at the end of last season. "Marshall probably wished he had stayed at Winthrop because he would probably be headed for South Carolina now." Again with the crystal ball. These commentators think they know the business of college hoops inside and out and that their opinions should count for something. I believe in Marshall and given a few breaks I think we can get back to post season this year. If not, then next year. I don't give up and neither will Marshall.

For Marshall's sake as much as for WSU's, I hope Marshall can make Katz eat those words and tell him "Andy, I knew EXACTLY what I was doing when I left for Wichita State. Now why don't you go off into the corner and play with Dougie for awhile, and let me get on with business."
