  • Hawkeyes' Freeman will transfer to So. Illinois

Southern Illinois did something to Tony Freeman that Iowa didn’t.

“They made me feel wanted,” the former Hawkeye star said today after saying he was finishing his college career as a Saluki.

Sounds like he really didn't have an option but to transfer away. That is pretty crappy that a player that is as good as him is unwanted by a staff.

Greg McDermott is losing Wesley Johnson. He is ISU's best player. Two years ago he was on the All Big XII freshman team. I guess these schools don't want to compete with the Bulldogs

I've heard Freeman has issues with attitude and defense. But he can shoot the ball.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Johnson. I haven't seen anything indicating why he chose to leave. I'm sure it's around though...
