he will be fine, the man is a natural 4, and we made him play 5 last year. If we can bring both of our Twin Towers in, he can just stick to playing his natural position.

Durley shouldn't ever have to play the 5 again if EO shows up. Plus we still don't know what coach is gonna do with the last scholarship he is looking to give out.

I think we should get the best freshman 3 or 4 we can find.

JT needs to learn how to defend. Offense isn't his problem. Toughness and concentration are his weaknesses. However, if the coaching staff have kept him on (instead of encouraging him to transfer) they must believe he will improve.

            I hope they're right.

Defensive fundamentals don't change whether you are a 4 or a 5. Other varaibles such as quickness, strength, how long one is, etc. are also involved. Durley didn't have any physical weaknesses that held him back. Only what was between his ears and what was attached to his chest held him back. Hopefully, he is smarter, tougher, and more coachable this year. If so, the athletic ability is there.

Lawmaker, exactly how does it feel to always be wrong?

Are we sure Lawmaker isn't Ryan Cornelius?

                    They're both always wrong...

I wonder if the news of Orukpe coming in will effect our recruiting classification. We were rated #57 before with SIU rated #47.

I am not even sure the #57 rating included Chamberlain or not.

I doubt we get much of a bump as the guys that make those lists have seen EO play as many times as I have.

Hoopscoops' rating did include Chamberlain. I don't think Orukpe will be considered as part of this recruiting class. Even if he is, he will not make much difference. I believe Scout and/or Rivals had him as a 2 star last year and indeed they didn't know anything about him to speak of then, and now.

Except they have surely heard what the NBA scouts have been saying about him now haven't they?

You all are smoking crack if you don't think guy isn't going to average 20 pts and 10 rebounds per game. He is the second coming of Hakeem Olajuwan who was a wannbe soccer phenom before he decided to pick up a basketball in college and we all know how that turned out.

This guy is going to be a monster and he better live up to expectations especially mine or else we ship his arse back to Nigeria.

                              j/k ;-)
