  • Illinois State's Bobby Hill

According to ISU's message board Bobby Hill is one step closer to returning to the Redbirds next year. He has graduated from his junior college. As for step two, coach Jankovich is hoping for a June decision on his eligibility from the NCAA about his high school coach providing an apartment, food, clothing and housekeeping in turn for playing at his school. IMO, June might be a little early for a decision. In the eyes of some, if he gets to play he will have as much impact as any of the incoming players in the MVC next year.

Unsubstantiated rumor is that the ISU campus is making the transition to natural clean burning propane for heat next winter.

Hill injured his right knee in a pick-up game and will have surgery when the swelling goes down. There was message board talk earlier in the day speculating he would not be able to run until December. However, Jankovich has now said he expects him ready to start the season in November.

IMO it's probable he will miss at least a few early games anyway due to the above mentioned problems.

That's too bad for ISU. Hopefully he recovers quickly and can help the 'Birds out early.
