  • Single 2008-09 season ticket for sale

All, the Ticket Exchange forum is pretty dead so pardon me for posting this here.

My wife is due with our second little boy in late August so it will be unlikely that she will attend many games next season. So we want to give someone the opportunity to buy this ticket for the 2008-09 season.

No SASO donation required. I'll cover that, but I also get to use the parking pass all season too.

    Section 120, Row 27, Seat 9

Basically right behind the visiting coaches chair, 27 rows up. A good collection of people, young and old, never had anyone tell me to sit down or shut up - only the visiting coach gets that treatment!

Lock in your seat right now so you won't have to scramble game-to-game.

Face value for Shocker fans - $250.00
Small upcharge for K-State fans - $500.00 (just kidding Mr. Sexton and Ms. Foulston)
Special price for KU fans - $9,999,999.99

    PM me if interested.

Take the baby to the games with you. They don't need a ticket until they are 2 (unless they have changed the rules). Our first was born in October and he went to every game that season. Our second was born in March so he was a little older by the time we started taking him to games. They have not missed more than a couple games per season since they were born. We got them used to the crowd noise and the band early on - and they were always really good (except the one time one of them dumped a cup of ice all over the guy in front of us). Now they are 9 and 6 and they love the games. They are already looking forward to next season.

The only thing I would be nervous about it the effect of the really loud crowd noise on the ears of a newborn.

Perhaps that is why our children can't hear anything...!
        Wear your seatbelt.

We did take #1 to his first game when he was 13 days old. Now that he's 3 and uses his own seat, there's just no room for a carrier and all the "stuff" that goes along with another little one. Our row and surrounding area is usually pretty full as well so there's really no extra room.

This also would depend on how well people around you watched their language. Seems to be a problem with the stupid $%&* that sits in front of me. :-x

I’m a little envious. There is no way in haities my 2 ½ year-old is sitting in a seat for more than 10 minutes – popcorn, bands playing, the roar of the crowd – it just doesn’t matter. It amazes me as I watch other kids his age at the games sit there on the parents’ laps for a couple of hours.

Am I alone here? Does any other parent have a young kid who hates to be confined to any one spot for more than a few minutes, making it impossible to go to sporting events? Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good natured, happy-go-lucky kid who just refuses to sit still for anything…basically hates to be confined and has to go go go. I’m just praying his feistiness pays off somewhere down the road.

I would be scared to death to take my 3 year old anywhere too. He would be down on the court before I could even think about getting him.

My parents had that worry with me when I was little. I could never sit still and was always on the move. But when it came to taking me to a basketball or baseball game or something I was as good as could be. Granted, I think I talked a lot and asked questions/made comments.

Anyway, my brother goes through this. They go to some of the Volleyball games and his oldest is great and really into it from start to finish. The middle child is into it for about 10 minutes and then gets a little restless.

I can see kids not wanting to sit in one place as a problem - our 2 year old twin niece and nephew would not tolerate it either. We're also in the very middle of the section - so our kids have learned to say "excuse me." Our boys have always just gone with the flow - the only issue is now our 9 year old screams and yells just like his dad (OK - sometimes his mom gets a little crazy as well)- especially at the refs. The worst was when he belted out a G-Dit at a game. He lost TV and video games for a week over that.

I dont have a problem with my 7 yr old at the games. Its when hes at home watching TV is where hes antsy.

He even sits through Baseball games.

Yes! Kidding...in watching other parents and kids at the game, it seems to go both ways, however most of the kids who can't sit through a game aren't there.

My daughter was born August '04, we probably brought her to 4 or 5 games her "newborn" season...She's steadly increased her number of games each season. This basketball season we (I) brought her to 90% of the games (she's 3)...plus about 15 or so baseball games to this point, but baseball's easy because she can play on the outfeild hill with the other kids. Our second kid (boy) is due in June, I'm going to have to look into buying more season tickets in a year or 2.

                              No Way

I took my 2 year old to a game this year and she acted pretty good for most of the game - but she is a ham and the people around us didn't see to much of the game. Other than that - only Dora the Explorer can keep her in a seat. Can't wait for a seven hour drive to Colorado this weekend. I'm sure that will make the 2 hour basketball game seem like chump change.
Don't let the fear of striking out - keep you from playing the game!
