  • Plumlee seeks Release from Stanford

Stay up to date with all the college basketball recruiting news and more at 247Sports.com

    Posted due to national significance:

Miles Plumlee, a 6-10, 4 star who can play both inside and out is seeking release of his LOI to Stanford due to the departure of Trent Johnson. Scout has him ranked #58 in the 2008 class. Others that offered Plumlee before his commitment included Indiana, South Carolina, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Miami (FL).

I'm sure Coach Johnson at LSU would not pull a MT.

I'm sure he wouldn't! I mean, who would ever do such a thing? Oh wait!

He's an Indiana kid, but was recruited by Sampson.

You would think Crean could find a place for him.

Wouldn't be surprised if he landed at LSU either.

I would bet this kid is looking for a little better academic institution than LSU. A kid doesn't have the combination of UVA, Vandy, Standford, and Northwestern in his finalists on accident.

I told you Coach Johnson wouldn't pull a MT. Plumlee will be a Duke Blue Devil.

Logic is faulty. This is obviously a kid that was picking a school more for the school than the coach. Kids that can get into Stanford, Duke, and Northwestern don't go to LSU.

He really liked Trent Johnson. I doubt if Johnson tried to get him to follow, but even if he did, you are right, LSU probably wasn't the place for him.
