Academic Issues?

I was asked today by a fairly well-connected season ticket holder if I had heard anything about any academic issues for a specific returning player, who shall remain nameless. Evidently there are rumors floating around some Shocker fan circles that a player has some academic issues.

Has anyone else heard any of these rumors? It could just be that someone got confused about Haynes-Jones status and then got the wrong name linked into the fact that H-J wasn't eligible until quite recently.

He knows I have different sources than he has. His connections are with other fans, not with the athletic department.

I sent him an email explaining that I believe someone got the situation with Haynes-Jones still needing academic work confused, and then the story morphed into one of the current players having academic issues.
