The discussion of Markis season being great or less-than-expected triggered the thought of which players showed improvement, statistically, in conference games over the non-conference games.

Does that data say anything Markis's Defense? If so, I guess I just missed it. At his recent NBA camp, I heard later that he is considered a potential elite defender in the NBA & a catch & shoot shooter.

Obviously, this is from stats and the only defensive stats are steals and blocked shots. MM is an elite defender and is improving in that regard. Provide some stats measuring defense and I will summarize those as well.
