Ideal Conference Tournament Location

I'm not sure what the prices have traditionally been, but to make the game affordable is important too. KU kills it for any other teams in the Big 12. I have some friends who are Iowa State fans and the prices have become so expensive, that they never go anymore.

Great post. This goes back to my initial thought that it's pretty much a guarantee that at least one of those 5 schools will playing in the semis/finals every year. And that Western group is much more geographically compact than the East coast schools, thus resulting in a good crowd throughout the tourney.

Another thing to consider: once UCONN gets the program rolling again (assuredly at some point with the tradition), the conference would want to adjust to accommodate accordingly. Same goes for Cincinnati. I just don't see an option where the tournament remains in one location for an extended time period.

Probably the best thing the AAC can do is to remain flexible and play to the strengths of the league as it comes...
