Beer could be coming to CKA

I don't anticipate that I will participate in drinking beer at the games but I don't begrudge anyone else doing so. I don't anticipate many big problems. It won't take very many incidents to cause WSU to shut it down if those occur. If I want a beer I would probably stop by the Shocker Grill before the game and enjoy a cold one. I can see dealing with a beer during the game could cramp my cheering style a bit and diminish my enjoyment of the game especially where I am sitting these days. But if it enhances the experience for other fans and if it enhances WSU's bottom line then good deal.

It's not going to matter to me one way or another. I'm not a beer drinker but I also hang out with a lot of friends who do drink. I'm still going to go to as many games as I can.

I've been to a total of 2 - TWO KC Chiefs games and had beer spilled on me both times. I only go because my son in law is a huge fan and I get him tix for his birthday sometimes. I will never take my grand kids because I would throat punch someone if they spilled it on one of them.

With as tight as seating is in CKA - I hope people are careful and mindful of those who don't want to partake and take caution to not spill their beverages on those around them.

If the revenue stream isn't that much, if most people won't buy, then why do it? We had guys a few rows behind us in STL that may not have been drunk but had enough to drink to be dropping profanities every 5 seconds that really affected our enjoyment of the game. Imagine if you dropped your hard earned money for tix and SASO and had someone like that within earshot, that's not gonna make the game less enjoyable?

It may not be widespread but it just seems like selling out the ability for a family to enjoy the games for a few bucks. I know I'm in the minority, but I'll be disappointed if they do this. I guess that makes me determined to be offended.

I have a loud mouth jackhole that sits by me. No beer needed for some people mess up your evening at the Chuck. So maybe beer will make him worse or I'll have a couple to make him a little less annoying!

Beer will always be a major problem at Chiefs games. I said I'd never go again after a bad experience 20 years ago and I haven't. A large number of nimrods tailgate before the game (and after) and they're inebriated when they enter Arrowhead. We shouldn't have that problem at a two hour Shocker basketball game and we haven't had too many problems at Shocker baseball games. It wouldn't surprise me if one or two idiots need to be escorted out of the arena during the season. At least we won't have Kentucky fans harassing us in Koch Arena. :)

People don't need beer or other forms of alcohol to act like idiots. There will be some accidental spillage; they already spill sodas and water in our section and I learned not to put my jacket on the floor.

I'm up in row 31. I was making a joke at brother in law if he checked in on this topic. I've been there for about 8 years now. Moved around the end zones 6 six years before. I really had a loud almost completely intolerable guy behind me at one stop.

Your problem may be solved. We didn't renew. I live too far away to make it reasonable to attend many games. Each trip would cost us 400-500 extra over and above tickets and SASO. We will still see as many games, we will just have to go a different route for tickets.

Couple weeks ago we went singin in ICT. I'm allergic to barley so sometimes I get off the stuff. This particular night I asked for a Blue Moon bottle. It's a wheat beer. They didn't have bottles but they had it on tap, so I went with that. At the end of the night I realized they were charging $4.50 for a glass. Seemed like Scottrade had a better deal.

FYI, wheat beers like Blue Moon are still made with barley, they just also have wheat in them.
