I can certainly appreciate the frustration, with your family being steadfast supporters for decades. The other side of the argument, however, is if that could all be passed down to subsequent generations, how would any new families ever have a shot at the same opportunity? I know that in reality people will occasionally give up their tickets, making room for new purchasers. But as a pure system, it's possible for current holders to completely lock out everyone else for generations. That may be how the athletic department has to, or chooses to approach their policy.
Just playing devil's advocate for a moment.

I know quite a few people who are going to have issues when parents or grand parents pass away when it comes to seating at CKA.
Season ticket holder privileges may be transferred to the spouse of a season ticket holder
or the surviving spouse in the event of death. Transfers to persons other than spouses or
surviving spouses may be permitted to the son or daughter of the season ticket holder with
the payment of the current required sustaining donation. Business to business transfers will
require the payment of the current required sustaining donation. Ticket transfers are not
allowable for faculty/staff tickets or transfers from an individual into a business account. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Nebraska's policy allows tickets to stay in one family, but it brings donation levels up to the current minimums. A win/win.There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Or transfer it to a corp. name and designate whomever as the contact. Note if you sell/close your trust or company...then you lose everything and start over. We worked with Susan in the SASO office and she worked within "rules" to come up with a solution that solved our problem. Your issue might be more complex, but they deal with this stuff all the time. The person you name as the representative must be the one to pick up tickets at NCAA's etc. so make sure you pick the appropriate person, it's not like you can just switch the contacts anytime. This was the only way to allow me to continue getting the same tickets under my father/family SASO points if he were to pass away.

I heard this today for people trying to get new tickets.
Family gave up tickets last year to travel. Called back this year to get tickets, hopefully where they were sitting. Were told to get tickets, there would be a four year commitment at $10K per year, plus SASO plus the cost of the Tickets. So looking at about $41 K for just one ticket over the period. She tells me she has heard this story from three other people as well.
So my question is, has anyone else have heard this or a similar experience?
