As a season ticket holder, games at IBA would already be paid for and included in my package, but I would still be able to select my seats in the same manner that has seemed to appease most people the last couple of years, including possibly spending a little out-of-pocket to improve my seats if I so desired.
I was just thinking this the other night. I'd be perfectly ok with getting seats the same way I do for the 1 IBA game as long as I didn't have to pay again. With the 1 time use codes they gave out this last year, there is no reason they can't have it zero out the cost for X number of tickets based on your current tickets along with letting you pay for additional up to a certain amount.

Not sure if you were addressing the quality or quantity of the seats, but I think this only works if you cap the number of tickets the code can be redeemed for at the identical number of season tickets held. Otherwise the Row 17 dude on day 2 of redemptions is gonna get jammed something fierce after the day 1 folks finish grabbing extra blocks of 4-6-8 or however many if they receive a ROFR with their code.

Seems like you have to let it cycle through in order of points with a cap first, then possibly have a couple day window for season ticket holders to have first dibs on the remaining blocks. Naturally, people will ***** that they can't bring 4 extra friends and have them sit down low in Row 8, but c'est la vie.

Even the simplest solutions on this are still a pain in the ass.

Agree to agree. You would HAVE to cap at number of season tickets owned for a first round.

One things I was thinking about recently when contemplating multiple games at IBA.....what if you sold tickets 2 different ways?

One game geared towards season ticket holders. Another game perhaps a free for all, with anyone and everyone getting an equal chance at great tickets.

That game could be regular Florida State type game from a fan standpoint. Just a thought.

Basically how they handled it this year. I have 2 season tickets, but my one time use code was for 4 max. That's what I was meaning. The code for me personally would all me to buy 4 but the first two would have have a discount to be "included". I'm even ok if I still have to pay the ticketing fees or whatever.

I have serious doubt that my caveat would actually be followed.

That is an interesting idea that I kinda like...on one condition. If it's going to be a free-for-all, then it better be a true free-for-all without any presales or taking care of high-end donors first.

This may be a VOUCHER plan that even democrat Shocker fans can get behind.

Seems to me that if they determined the approximate distance of each row from the center court logo in CKA, they could reasonably assign like seats at IBA. If they did this, fans would have a similar vantage point as they do in CKA and there would be an assortment of seats/rows left over for public sale. I'm assuming that there are more seats in the IBA lower bowl than there are in CKA.

Additionally, there could be a "swap out" option to be selected at renewal time which would allow those season ticketholders with sufficient points/donation levels to release their IBA seats in exchange for a box or suite at the IBA games.

You'd have to take care of the 1200 or so seat licenses guys at IBA, but yes I agree, the other 14000 or so tickets completely open.

Is that where the Groupon-style Wichita Thunder season ticket holders somehow have Trump card on the WSU MBB season ticket holders?

For the voucher, I think if you have two season tickets, you get to pick two seats. No block purchases beyond that until it opens to the public.

The one section of club seats in the middle of the arena (section 103) are sold by IBA on yearly or longer contracts and offer right of first refusal on all IBA events. Similar to the suites.

Exactly, AND Thunder season tickets are included in that purchase, but that's the only event. Every other game, concert, event etc is extra, unless something has changed recently.

I STILL have a problem with a person with two season tickets being allowed four seats, but I have 8 season tickets and the related Super Guardian contribution and was allowed only 4 tickets.

I agree @im4wsu: we should only get what we pay for and then the rest can be a free for all with the masses. I say this with 4 Century Club tickets at Bold Gold SASO level. I would be miffed as well.
