Saw Villanova is having the same problem regarding the need for corporate sponsor tickets, therefore moving games to Wells Fargo.
Why walk somebody in baseball when you can hit them?

Yep. Inelastic demand still in play.

Maybe for the exhibition game and UMKC type games, but when Cincinnati, SMU, UConn, etc. come to town, I'm pretty sure that Koch Arena will be packed and rowdy like Florida St/Iowa/KU-1987/UNI-2015/Creighton-2013.

Corporate doesn't always mean "boring types who sit on hands." I know some crazy passionate fans who are "corporate."

Not always but around me, it often does. Oh, they clap, and stand up and follow other passionate fans, but the corporate fans around me, aren't really passionate. They can be rather boring fans.

Last year there was no waiting list... I initially didn't renew. They eventually called me in after they went through the upgrade list and I was able to select seats in a much better location.

Interesting. Anyone know if there was any sort of influx of requests for season tickets after the AAC announcement was made?

I had a friend request season tickets prior to the official announcement. He was put on a waiting list.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

I will say this, they did make it all the way through the waiting list last season. The AAC probably increases the demand some this year, but we are getting close to the balance between supply and demand.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Last year it was hard to get a ticket to watch the Shox put a 40-point beatdown on Drake. Tickets for games against Temple, UConn, Cincinnati, etc. will be even harder to come by. I don't think we're going to be hurting for butts in seats for quite a while.

I'm curious how they're going to handle the top of the student section. Last year's method might get tricky if 1,000 people show up to get a ticket when there are only 200 available.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Buying single games will probably be a nightmare. Think the games against SMU, Cincinnati, and Memphis will get moved to IBA.

That will make season ticket holders unhappy. We have the IBA game already against Oklahoma. I expect them to see how the first season goes.

We might become like Villanova having games against big time opponents at Wells Fargo.

Maybe, but to raise ticket prices on season ticket holders only to move several of the best games to IBA is a slap in the face.
