The MVC and the Horizon and/or Summit need to realign into a public school conference (with football) and a private school conference. I haven't looked at the make-up of those two leagues to see the numbers of public vs. private, but having a mix is a problem moving forward. Maybe all three should realign into two public and one private, so as not to lose their NCAA auto bids.

That would ease Coach Jans' scouting responsibilities a bit.

This is not good. Do you think Evansville is leaving? Or maybe Indiana State? Either way, we're screwed.

Cost savings. Think of all the money it would cost in long distance fees to call and try and replace WSU in their schedule.

I wish they would take a picture of the certified letter before it left for the MVC office.

On MVCFans, more than a few want the Valley to stay at 9. They want to use the 2 extra games as buy games to boost athletic department revenues to see if that might help improve the programs.

That would put some of them at probably 4 buy games a year. Throw in that the winner of the auto bid will likely be a 13 or 14 seed, and you have a pretty good picture of the future of the league.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

The only thing left would be to move the championship game to Tuesday so it could be on ESPNU

There's no way that CBS would want to keep the Arch Madness final, right?

What make you think ESPNU would want it? I think were looking at The Ocho here aren't we?

The SN Pickem contest will certainly be interesting next season.

Read in the Omaha World Herald that the Nebraska writers are under the impression the MVC could possibly replace WSU with UNO...wow. That would be mailing it in.

Good for UNO. I'm at the point that I don't really care what they do. I've had all the headaches and heartaches that I care to have from the MVC. I'm really looking forward to the day when I can officially say "Not my monkey, not my circus".
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.
