Palm will still be looking for us in the MVC at that time.

            10. Wichita State Shockers - What Gregg Marshall did at Wichita State was incredible this season, as he took a club which lost two NBA players (Ron Baker and Fred Van Vleet), still won 31 games and nearly upset Kentucky in the second round of the NCAA tournament. And there’s reason to think that – despite those 31 wins – the Shockers will be significantly better next season. Virtually every key piece is back, including leading scorer Markis McDuffie, sparkplug point guard Landry Shamet and center Shaquille Morris.

            9. UCLA Bruins
            8. North Carolina Tar Heels
            7. Gonzaga Bulldogs
            6. Kentucky Wildcats
            5. Kansas Jayhawks
            4. Michigan State Spartans
            3. Duke Blue Devils
            2. Louisville Cardinals
            1. Arizona Wildcats

Not to mention sharp shooter Conner Frankamp, lock-down defender Zach Brown, glue guy Rashard Kelly, a maturing Rauno Nurger, instant offense Darral Willis, intriguing sophomores to be Austin Reaves (if he doesn't redshirt) and C.J. Keyser, two cat-quick Juco transfers -- one, Daison Smith, with a year at WSU under his belt and one, Samajae Haynes-Jones, coming off a NJCAA National Chamopionship and one incoming freshman the imposing 6-11, 270 lb Asbjorn Mitgaard. Other than that there is nothing to be excited about.

                by Matt Brown
                April 5, 2017

                1. Kentucky
                2. Kansas
                3. Villanova
                4. Arizona
                5. North Carolina

                6. Wichita State. All signs are pointing toward Wichita State's move from the Missouri Valley to the American Athletic Conference being imminent. The AAC is undoubtedly a step up and will give the Shockers an opportunity to build a better resume than they can in the Missouri Valley, with games against teams like UConn, SMU, Cincinnati and Memphis. Either way, we know the Shockers are going to be good. They were underseeded in the NCAA Tournament and nearly beat Kentucky, and now everybody is expected to return to a team that went 31-5, led by Markis McDuffie, Landry Shamet and coach Gregg Marshall.

                7. Louisville
                8. Florida
                9. Duke
                10. West Virginia

                  1. Duke Blue Devils
                  2. Kentucky Wildcats
                  3. Louisville Cardinals
                  4. Kansas Jayhawks
                  5. Gonzaga Bulldogs
                  6. Villanova Wildcats

                  7. Wichita State Shockers - If the rumors about Wichita State heading to the AAC are true, the regular season may become a bit more grueling for the Shockers but possibly just at the moment that was needed for this program, as they return their most gifted roster since 2013-2014’s legendary 35-1 outfit. The whole gang is back in town in Wichita, headlined by guards Landry Shamet and Conner Frankamp, and most importantly, head coach Gregg Marshall is still on campus. With Marshall still running the show, culture should win out for the Shockers, even in a potential conference transition season.

                  8. Florida Gators
                  9. North Carolina Tar Heels
                  10. West Virginia Mountaineers

A rudimentary Ric Flair impersonation. Not horrible, but decidedly mediocre. 5/10.

Sorry, dizzle -- didn't you hear that Cold had been euthanized? I understand our mods were very humane about it.

Meanwhile, we've seen rankings from 2-10 so far. Have there been any lower, or have those just not been posted yet?

It would be nice to have Cold and Sub back, but the forces in the sky really like WheatShockers and gifted them with two of our best with a giant middle finger. Neither will be back. We can count ourselves lucky to have DTSB as much as we do.
