Is that actually a thing outside of the high-maintenance burger boys?

Is that a thing with our type of recruits?

    Actual questions, btw.

Uniforms are a piece of the overall puzzle. Arena, locker rooms, other facilities, uniforms. Recruits do care. Oregon has been better in basketball and football since becoming Nike U.

I would guess this has a lot less to do with highlighter uniforms and a lot more to do with the bankroll.

The implication was stronger than "the vendor/supplier is one of many, many factors that influence a recruits decision but is in no way decisive in and of itself".

The question would be whether AAU coaches draw unofficial lines in the sand for schools that either align or do not align with that coach/team's interests based solely on sponsorship.

I would vote Nike, all things considered equal. If UA is the better deal, then go with them. Either way, the threads will improve drastically due to (hopefully) better TV contracts.

Speaking of, will this force WSU's hand with Cox? Will they be on more regional coverage now with bigger networks?

Sure, but to be fair if a recruit likes sweet unis then we've been asleep at the wheel with our Nike stuff the entirety of the Marshall era. Don't know how a change would matter one bit, in our context. Only one direction to go when you've already bottomed out.

Oregon is a little different as they are bankrolled by the owner of Nike

                  While we're on the topic...

I think the first team to go back to the shorty-shorts will become a national sensation, land top recruits, and win a national title.

It is the case. You are locked into wearing the brand of shoe that is the uniform supplier.

Did you not watch Florida this season?

Many opponents were pretty much intimidated when Darnell Valentine stepped onto the court.

Not sure how that look would work for Markis McDuffie though.
